I mean good chance McVay wants one of these TE or maybe trade back and get a CB and a RT. Good options

Dare wrote:I love this signing. Devante's contract will probably have no impact or a positive impact on the cap. Basically the Rams trade Adam's cap hit for Kupp's, but upgrade the position. Secondaries will be in a bind trying to cover both Puka and Adams, now factor with Atwell running down the field. Do they double him or risk a huge play? Stafford can't wait. With Whittington and Smith behind those 3 the Rams are 5 deep at WR. WR is now off the draft board as a priority.

That leaves QB, RB, NT, and RT as their priorities in the draft. ILB can be address internally if they think shifting players like Tony Fields or even a 6th round pick. RT could be filled if they think Leveston can be that guy. On film he looks to have better feet than either Havenstein or McClendon and footwork can be improved with training leaving QB, RB and NT as their priorities in this draft.

Regardless this draft will feel different because with Stafford and now Adams this team is in win a SB mode like it was in 2021. This team is better overall than that one in 2021. If the weather is decent when they play the Eagles, i.e. early in the season, I think they can beat them.

Signing Adams was a clear signal to the rest of the NFL, the Rams will contend this season.

Finally Dares reaction. We’ve been waiting.

Put this in perspective goes from NFL Siberia to the Rams. The best organization in The NFL. That’s amazing.

And Dare Tight end has to be of need. I’m good with the defense once we finish the offense we should get that Super Bowl run.

Imagine winning the Super Bowl one year before L.A?

I know we need a Swing T then to move in our future RT,

But for a SB run within the next two years,

we need a big powerful Center too, something like a 6-5 330lb.

During the last two plays against the Eagle,

Limmer couldn't handle Carter in those last two plays of the game.

I'm 76 with fatigue syndrome especially since my GF is wayyyy younger than I am. ;) So I sleep at odd times and I'm awake at strange times as well. It may seem I'm on here 24/7 but I'm not.

But Adams changes the complexion of things as it explains why they "knew" Kupp was not returning as they needed his cap space and roster spot. I'm a big Kupp fan but understand the reality of business. Kroenke wants to squeeze as many Lombardi opportunities from this roster while they are "affordable".

All they are missing on offense is a RB with breakaway speed. Devante elevates the threat level in the passing game. Now the secondary must truly honor the entire field not just focus on the short and intermediate. As a deep threat Atwell does what I expected for the offense. McVay is indeed about to unlease a hybrid scheme blending 2018 and 2024 making the Rams once again unpredictable. They can play move the chains ball control then kill you with a 65 yard strike if the safeties make a mistake.

They want the rookie QB to immerse himself in the new scheme from day one. When the young QB takes the field he will be fully acclimated to the scheme. Kroenke wanted a team that could sustain an elite level of play for years, not simply an occasional season here and there. Kroenke wants Snead to build a NFC dynasty in the mold of KC and NE at their height.

Devante wants a ring like Stafford wanted his so that is why he's here. He's made his money now he's playing for his ring. If the Rams win another Lombardi this coming season, that will elevate the Rams into a premier franchise. Not just making Kroenke even richer with even more bragging rights among the NFL elites, but it will make the Rams the cash cow he covets. They are already a preferred destination for FAs but a dynasty type franchise is on another level.

As for the fans it probably would mean re-energizing McVay into a prolonged career and sneering rights over the rest of the NFC. Funny how it started at the end of the 2022 season and Baker Mayfield.

That is when Sean began to redesign his offense to be more of a fit for a wider variety of QBs. He saw how he could adapt it to fit both Stafford and Mayfield. The rebuild started the following year with the 2023 draft, which was a gem. That was followed by an even better draft in 2024. But 2024 also exposed the inherent weaknesses in McVay's team. The defense was returning to form, without all the high priced hired guns. This year the evolution of McVay's offense continues. As I pointed out with Donald's retirement, you realize that you don't replace the man, but you find a way to replace the production and threat level. That's what I think McVay and Snead will do in this draft. Get a jump on the next franchise QB and increasing the threat level of the run attack with a faster RB who unlike Akers has the vision and agility to run inside and has breakaway speed.

Interesting signing which is why Snead kept saying no chance of Kupp returning. This obviously has been in the works for a while.

With Stafford, Adams, and Nacua, along with their emerging dominant defense, the Rams are definitely making a hard run at the SB this year. They look to be the best in the NFCW with a loaded roster on both sides of the ball.

Good point dare.

Omari Hampton would be amazing in this offense. I can see the Rams drafting him. Rams just draft best player available.

I really like Omarion Hampton. He's a big man with speed. That in itself isn't special but the guy is explosive with his first step which is special. Not only does it show on film but when he timed his 10 yd split was very good for a man of his size.

That said I'm not ignoring his issues. He has average vision at best and is primarily best used in perimeter runs. He's a long strider, meaning he doesn't have a lot of gears when he runs. At this point he wouldn't be the primary RB but a complementary piece in the run game.

What I'm saying is that he needs good coaching and work ethic to improve his technique. From what I have seen, he would be a good red zone RB. He can be a punishing RB who would rather run over a smaller defender than try to avoid him. That is pure aggression which is a good thing in a RB in the red zone. He's a role player but every team has them as they are necessary in the way the NFL plays its players in units.

I could definitely see him returning kicks, which the NFL is hell bent on forcing to happen.
