I wasn't able to watch the game today. Though from the score I didn't miss much. From what friends tell me the OL issues are the biggest problem. They gave this game away by sloppy play. Taking nothing away from the Bears who took advantage.

This makes next week a must have win game. Have I written this team off? Hell no, but they simply need to wake up and play consistent football. I will watch the replay later.

This is setting things up much like last year. Everyone wrote the Rams off for dead as they went into the bye. But they figured it out and kicked ass coming out of the bye. But they need to win next week or the hole will be very deep indeed.

Next week will show how this young team responds to adversity. I originally felt they would hold Kupp out until after the bye. But now IMO they won't have that luxury. I'd be surprised if he doesn't play. This offense isn't the same without Kupp and Nacua. Their three current starters are good WRs but they don't bring the same threat level to a defense. Stafford isn't the same QB without his "security blanket" in Kupp. It's understandable due to the level of connection they have.

Win next week and they are only a game down with 12 to play.

The Rams ARE dead. With that D, they have no chance at any meaningful football. Massively improve the D and this, THIS O can win some games. Improve the D massively AND get offensive starters back AND FULLY HEALTHY, then they have a chance at real football. Until then, the losses are surely to mount.

While these repeatable, and never learned from habits are entirely on McVay for refusing to self reflect, I also lay a heavy heap of the blame on LaFleur. It's not just his job to study and know our offense, but he should have also studied and learned McVay's habits. ESPECIALLY the ones that hurt the team, and he should be screaming from the top of his lungs to shake McVay out of his foolishness.

HARD disagree. They played fine today. Not great maybe, but NFL average at least. Hell, our run game looked pretty damn good, and for most of the game Stafford had plenty of time to pass.

Our seconday and ILB's remain a MASSIVE problem. If our CB's and safeties don't get straight up beat, then negate anything they do with penalties.

And I'll repeat what I said in the chat, if Verse can't hit a moving target he's next to pointless. 4 games in and he still tackles a moving target like a slot machine (only one arm). If Shula doesn't have Speights ready to add some much needed closing speed (and vertical assistance) mid-field then imo that is a gigantic indictment on his abiltiy to coach this D.

I got alot to say. The line has continued to be in an issue not just the sacks but the pressures. The reason I worried about the Rams in this game was the great Bears defense. They were lights out against the Texans.

I was concerned about that defensive line. Montwez Sweat.

When Stafford has a clean pocket hes the best in the league as we saw in the 1st half. Second half not so much.

We didnt cash in on the touchdowns and kept getting field goals. You gotta get touchdowns.

We saw williams. I knew we could run. The bears cant stop the run. The Bears strength is great in the secondary.

Stafford when pressured threw a pick and threw one in the first half. Wasnt called. Thought he played good. But in the second half as they dialed up pressure it affected him.

As the bears got Caleb in space it affected the run. Swift was great and I thought he would. Also thought Kmet would be good over the middle.

No one will talk about it but the punting affected the game. The bears drafted a great Punter. The bears have a great punter he effected field posistion specifically on the final drive Stafford threw the pick. Affected our agressiveness.

Obsorvation we have a great kicker maybe best Kicker ive seen since Vinatari. Karty is money.

All the talk about Verse and Fiske stop they got pressures and hurries in Williams face. Sacked him. Even if they dont get a sack. They create a sack. I dont want to hear it. Them rookies are balling.


It was pointed out we finished strong but that was with Nacua. Without Nacua I dont see it.

Bonus is there are impact players in the 1st round of this draft in particular Travis Hunter.

Pretty much agree. I think we are 1-4 going into the bye. We won’t be back to full strength until probably game 8 or 9. By then we could have 2, maybe 3 wins and will be looking toward the draft. Show me 9 winnable games over the rest of the season. I see maybe 3; Raiders, Patriots, and maybe the Dolphins if Tua isn't back. That’s it as this team is playing now. I am stunned our secondary is so inconsistent. And our run defense is flat out terrible. They get stops now and again. But, they are consistently out of position or glued to blocks or missing tackles - or all three of those at the same time. Wasting a pretty damn good front 7.
