Re Wentz; I wonder what the deal was when he was here this summer? Did MCV talk to Gruden about getting him more ready/rehab his fundamentals?? Was it his persona/rep with teammates?

The o-line needs to be upgraded and Havs is getting pretty long in the tooth. But either through free agency or draft, they need another stud or two at edge. It would radically improve the defense...

I could agree 1 Edge is needed. Young will be better than fine, it seems. They will solidfy the O line from the roster to free agency to the draft, I'm confident.

It's interesting how we like to put a time frame on it (because none of us are getting any younger?). 2022 we suffered, so they decided 2023 was a eat dead money-bite the bullett year and 2024 will set up 2025?....or something along those lines.

But suppose it's done in 20 months.....starting with the March 2023 purge, the draft, a developmental season, a reverse purge where we gather a few free agents from other teams, another good draft, a solid team and a very strong season heading into the 2024 playoffs? Couldn't it be "welcome back to the Superbowl" in 2024?

Sounds all tidy right? A fantasy? Too quick? I'm talking enduring a horrible 18 week 2022 season then 20 months (read about 71 more weeks) of churning the roster and building another winner. Except, a stronger winner than we had by obtaining OBJ and Von Miller for 11 weeks, built with young talent surrounding a few vet studs like AD,Kupp and Stafford, etc.

Too much to accept? Too far fetched? 89 weeks is too fast?

Watching the second half the last two games, we need DB help as much as edge. I don't care how good a line is. They are not pressuring the quarterback every play. When the quarterback has 3 seconds or more wide open receivers are in abundance with our defense. .

We need help in many areas. But certainly nothing that can be found in 3 draft classes (2022-2024) and a free agency with a lot of spare jack. It looks bad until it doesn't.

Anything can happen, we still have 9 games this season, alot good or bad can happen. Will see, but I want EDGE and EDGE depth, make the DL our strength.
