One wonders just how many other responses from people working in the NFL have not been released ? Of course the NFL will probably find a way to prevent an avalanche of people being outed, but how? The resignation of Gruden and moving on as quickly as possible?

“Outed”? For what? Poor judgment? Those men put down in email how men talk to each other in private, and expected their privacy to be maintained.

How do you talk to your buddies on the golf course or at the bar?

The Woke Religion has weaponized political correctness in a brazen effort to enforce their dogma.

Isn't that what this is all about? Poor judgement? The mistake was "putting it down in writing". You can talk however you want on the golf course, so long as nobody is wearing a wire. This ain't "woke". This is stupidity. My point was, if Gruden's head has rolled because the 'language' he used and the beliefs he holds were put in writing, then what about the replies? Did he correspond with any current NFL head or assistant coaches (or GMs/owners) who may share the same beliefs? And did they express them like he did? This could become a house of cards.

You have to be a complete moron to send emails like that, particularly these days.

Of course, if he had McVay's record instead of a 23-31 mark with the Raiders, maybe this ends differently.

The kinds of words men choose regularly to convey their personal sentiments to one another in private, especially when they happen to be men who clearly are operating in circles of influence... contributes to the kinds of very public issues the NFL as an organization has had to address.

As for the rhetorical about buddy talk, one rather obvious answer to this question it seems might be: in the exact same manner when I talk in the company of my family.

Business ethics classes have been standard requirement for anyone wanting to major in business/accounting/marketing for several decades now.

It's a sad statement they had to be instituted in the first place.

Like that statement, "do you kiss your mother with that mouth?". But of course that's usually used in settings like the golf course or the gym.

This Gruden downfall all came out of the Dan Snyder stuff. One of the rumors are Snyder sent "orders" listing which cheerleaders he wanted to see undressed before a photo shoot and then follows up wondering where the pictures are. Or also talk of which cheerleaders could/would be pimped out to VIPs.

Yet none of those emails came out and there wasn't even a written report.

10 years/$100 million was also a crazy contract.

Snyder, Kraft, Jerrah and any other owners.....they will all be protected by the NFL. If the stacks of money are high enough, you can hide behind them.

Yep. I'm betting they'll make a concerted effort to bring in a minority candidate, which is good, because right now I think two of the best candidates out there are Eric Bienemy (Chiefs OC) and Byron Leftwich (Bucs OC). Plus, it would be nice if some other team had their staff poached!
