Bingo! Note is tall and a bit under powered to play inside. I like the idea of having him back-up this year. Barring injury, I think he will be our next LT whenever Whit calls it a day. BUT, Whit looks in even better shape this year than last, and he was damn good last year.

i dunno... noteboom is entering his 4th season, my guess is the rams had hoped he would be a starter by now, not a backup... moreover edwards, the guy who has seemingly flat-out beaten noteboom out of his starting lg job, is taller than note, not to mention edwards is a 5th rounder while note is a 3rd rounder.

btw, something that didn't get a lot of attention is seems:

last year edwards took over the starting lg position, and never relinquished it, after noteboom went down with an injury in game 2, however in the wildcard game against the seahawks edwards was injured and had to come out of the game, and was forced to miss the divisional round game against the packers as well - so who did the rams send in to cover at lg for edwards against the seahawks, and to start at lg against the packers (two rather important games)? noteboom? the guy who had been the rams starting left guard for the past two seasons? who was available to play? no, they sent in evans, a guy with 7 nfl start under his belt, a guy who played zero offensive snaps in 2020.

I do think that Evans may be more suited for the OG spot than Noteboom, and its not a question of height. Whether Noteboom is Whitworth's long term successor... I'd say the jury is still out on that one.
