Niners averaged giving up 17.8 offensive ppg at home this year (including Rams game) so we out performed that by 13 points.

They average 30.1 offensive ppg at home and we held them to 27, outperforming by 3 points.

I don't think it was a game where any one thing was the difference. The pick 6 was big. So were the defensive breakdowns.

Even with the pick 6 i thought the offense was great, came up really big in a big game.

Defense not as much but they played great a lot of the time too.

Tough game, tough loss anyway you slice it, for me...

The pick 6 was emotionally big for the fans. Too much too fast. Around 6 seconds for them to score off that interception.

Where as it took us 4:01 to score off of theirs.

Both outcomes are equal without the emotion.

They scored six off of our interception.

We scored six off of theirs.

Its a push with points off those two turnovers.

First off, Goff gets credit for leading the scoring drive.
Second, a pick 6, like Jared threw, is a gift.

Alrighty then. This is what you need.

You are right.

And the title of the thread doesn't make any sense.

All ints are not the same. And, yes, I apply the same standard to Goff as other QBs. See my comments about the ints in the Seattle game. Neither was a horrific decision. The 9ers throw was.

I thought the same until i rewatched the game. The play was designed for him look to the left first, then immediately throw back right. A no look pass so to speak. It was the play call imo.

Well you All have identified results of problems IMO. His problems are:
His delivery seems too long and tedious. His footwork, especially under duress is inconsistent. He panics under pressure which tends to lead him into locking onto targets, and causes a degradation of his mechanics. He still seems slow to process coverage and unwilling to check the ball down more quickly. ALL these deficiencies Have led to the turnovers AND, They are all very much correctable.

Again, JMO
