It's always about the money......keeping it. Making more of it. Putting it in less peril.

It's a large part of history in the NFL.

Rams from Cleveland to Los Angeles
Cardinals from Chicago to St. Louis
Chargers from Los Angeles to San Diego
Chiefs (Texans) from Dallas to Kansas City
Patriots from Boston to Foxborough
Raiders from Oakland to Los Angeles
Colts from Baltimore to Indianapolis
Cardinals from St. Louis to Arizona
Rams from Los Angeles to St. Louis
Raiders from Los Angeles to Oakland
Browns from Cleveland to Baltimore
Titans (Oilers) from Houston to Tennessee
Rams from St. Louis to Los Angeles
Chargers from San Diego to Los Angeles
Raiders from Oakland to Las Vegas

That's a lot of moving, all for money. Ironically, Cleveland got a new franchise twice. When the Rams left and when the Browns left. Houston got a new franchise. I guess the NFL didn't think enough of St. Louis to give them one. :idea2: Apparently the same is true of Oakland and San Diego.

Cleveland deserved a football team.
San Diego deserves a football team.
Oakland deserves a football team.
St. Louis does not.

Still doesn’t mean that Demoff gets play around with us.

I’m talking about places that don’t have teams.

Last time I checked you have two teams, and one of them will be there for the next 40 years.

Cleveland 6 NFL Championships: 1924 (Bulldogs), 1945 (Rams), 1950, 1954-55, 1964 (Browns)
San Diego 1 AFL Championship in 1963
Oakland 1 AFL Championship (1967), 2 NFL Championships (1976, 1980)
Los Angeles 2 NFL Championships: 1951 (Rams) 1983 (Raiders)
St. Louis 1 NFL Championship 1999 (Rams)

The Rams are the only team who have made 3 cities champions. St. Louis owes the Rams that much.

Any team that plays in St. Louis faces certain financial ruin and will damage the entire league.
-Stan K.

Send the Chargers home.

(And I fully remember Georgia’s “They can watch on TV” insult to you guys.)

This is a lie.

Here's the actual language:

Any NFL Club that signs on to this proposal in St. Louis will be well on the road to
financial ruin, and the League will be harmed.

And here's Demoff going into the 2015 season (from an old thread):

What would need to happen for the Rams to stay in St. Louis?

“I think at the end you need to see what the gameplan looks like, what the economics look like and what the outcomes in Los Angeles are.”

Is it a possibility that the Rams are playing football in St. Louis in 2016?

“I think that’s absolutely a possibility. Nothing is impossible at that point. Nothing is a given. I think our goal…is to focus on the year at hand on the field, on the product, on the marketing side and then really look at the stadium issues separately. To say right now in 2016 do we know where we’re playing? I don’t think anybody has any idea but it’s certainly possible that it could be in St. Louis. I don’t think that’s off the table or unlikely. It could be just as likely as it is unlikely.”

As much as I want to stick it to Stan, part of me wants to see Blitz fail as he’s one of the few still around from the 90s Rams lease debacle. He’s the one that helped draw up that 25% top language that let the Rams walk. Now he’s trying to have it both ways by cashing in at the back end.
