We were at $28 pre-Suh. So that less $14?

We are at $100 next year.

they are obviously the Jets in this scenario. An original afl team housed with a original nfl team.
the original afl has a horrible SB history aside from the Pats,Raiders,Broncos.

Harold, you left out the Steelers who are tied for the most SB wins, I believe.

The qualifier was "original AFL" though, which started in 1960 with 8 teams:
New York Titans
Boston Patriots
Buffalo Bills
Houston Oilers
Los Angeles Chargers
Denver Broncos
Oakland Raiders
Dallas Texans

The Pittsburgh Steelers(Pirates) have actually been a part of the NFL since 1933 and been around since the '20's. In 1970 when the AFL and NFL merged, the Steelers, Colts and Browns "switched" and went from the NFL to the AFC.

Unfortunately, I fear M. Barron is a goner. That would add back 8 mil, I think.

Trading Brockers would free up $11M, wouldn't it? Some are saying that now that they have Suh, they'll move Brockers.

The 1-year aspect of this is dampening my enthusiasm.

I need to look more closely at 2019 cap. Donald, Gurley, Joyner, Peters (5th yr option), NRC, Saffold, Hav, Brown, Longacre, etc. will need contracts. Given we probably want to retain most of them, true 2019 cap is under $40M. Still thought there was room for Suh, too, on maybe on a 3 year deal with a minimal out after next year.
