Dodgers won the game 2 today,3rd game is tomorrow, we got our 1st look at Rich Hill today, he threw 6 shutout innings, but when he wants to use it he has a 90-92mph fastball, but he's mainly a junk ball pitcher, he won todays game & Justin Turner won it with a bases empty homerun in the 4th... Hill got his blister because of all the junk he throws, he's effective though...Dodgers win 1-0...

Giants are 3 games behind us now & we'd be in good shape with a 4 game lead, the Cubs come to town on Friday, they aren't pushovers...

Giants are a funk. I didn't think the Dodgers had enough to catch them much less pass them in the standings. With the exception of last night it seems like the Dodgers are doing it with offense. Seager, AGon, Turner and Grandal have all been putting solid wood on the ball. Two guys likely to be in the upper 20's in HR's and two others likely to be in the low 20's with a couple more in the mid to upper teens. This team has some sock.

Rich Hill - Tommy John. Junk ball specialist. Loved that game last nite.

I have a feeling Los Doyers are relying on the longball a little too much right now.

Well, they have some guys who can hit it out of the park. They're hitting well right now. They actually didn't hit a HR the other night until Toles in the 8th. They got to Bumgarner with clutch hitting. Sweeps are hard, but if they win tonight I think the Giants psyche will be affected. Madbum lost his last 4 decisions to the Dodgers. He's gotta be thinking about that next time he play them.

Watching them play the Cubs you just knew they weren't going to keep the score down all game. Last night's game showed the Cubs are the class of the NL. Dodgers couldn't close it out against a quality club. I'm just hoping they don't sweep the Dodgers while the Giants are playing the lowly Braves.

Last night's game showed we wouldn't have a chance in the playoffs without Kershaw. And not just against the Cubs. I hope he can pitch again this year.

I think we can hit with the Cubs but there's no way this years rotation even with Kershaw coming back can compete.

Julio Urias gave the Cubs all they could handle today & the Dodgers held the Cubs offense to 2 runs AND the Braves shut the Giants down...
Dodgers have a 2 game lead against the Giants again...Corey Seager hit his 23rd homerun becoming the ALL-TIME leader for homeruns by a rookie shortstop
in Dodgers history today & he's only 22 years old, he's gonna get better, what a sweet stroke he has...
Kershaw is close to pitching a simulated game, Tuesday maybe, then maybe a rehab assignment...Theirs talk of keeping Urias as a starter &
bringing De leon up when their season ends in a week or so...

According to dodgers.com Puig was placed on trade wavers today by the Dodgers, to bad some of these players just don't understand the opportunity they have until its gone...
Hope some of you saw the Cubs vs Dodgers game today, Dodgers 1 Cubs 0, Brock Stewart was called up to pitch this game & he matched John Lester pitch for pitch & strikeout for strikeout, Lester was 14-4, Stewart 0-2 but Stewart sure didn't pitch like he was 0-2, the winning run (only run)
was scored in the bottom of the eighth, Dodgers win 1-0 & maintain their 2 game lead over the Giants who played the Braves & won 13-4...
From what I saw of Brock Stewart I'm wondering why is he languishing in the Minors when we are desperate for pitching, he has outstanding stuff & control with a 94-95 mph fastball ?

I thought Stewart was in over his head last time he pitched. But he was terrific today. Even more impressive was who he pitched against. I was worried about getting swept and we take two of three from the Cubbies. Giants fans thought they'd gain ground with them playing the Braves. We're right where we started before the series. 2 game lead.
