So when you had your encounter with Demoff do you think you might have misread " the eye roll"? That is a real tell.

Not at all. He said it out loud as well. “ Everytime I meet people, they ask about the uniforms. I don’t get it”

Not sure why that is so hard to understand. Seems you don’t believe me. You can look it up, there are pictures of me with Kevin at RamsPark on RRF.

I don’t bullshit, no matter how fashionable it has become.

Each to his own, indeed.

No man, I have no reason to disbelieve you. I was only inquiring. The uni thing is important to me (and many) for the reasons I stated. Just trying to get that 'inside' perspective you attained by meeting the man in charge.

Thanks for the feedback.

Meredith was a Cowboy through and through and likely not an impartial opinion. Cosell was fired for calling a black man a "little monkey" and he wore a toupee. I wouldn't suggest either of them as a compass for good taste.
aeneas1 wrote:1999 was a long time ago, jerseys have changed considerably since, even skill position player jerseys, how on earth do you put a sleeve horn on the following jersey that would look remotely good, that would look remotely like the vintage late 70s / 80s "ferragamo" jerseys that everyone loves to point to as what the rams should return to?
I don't think things are so far different that abandoning the design is necessary. If you look at the picture of Gurley in the throwbacks a few posts ago, the horn tip is clearly visible on the sleeve. It just isn't the problem or a valid reason for all the re-designs.

I expect they're working very hard to create something new and unique.

You don't go back to the throwback because people already buy those. I think they'll come up with something much more modern, but very cool.
But "new and unique" isn't the same as getting it right. They've introduced new and unique so many times now that we're left with a hot mess. The re-design in 2000, other than horrible timing, was actually the best of what they've done since 1999. Abandoning a championship uniform was either bad luck or stupid but the design and colors were actually well done IMO. Since then, though? No one with any taste or design sense has been approving changes for the Rams for a long time.

I can’t think of a logical explanation of why the Rams allow this atrocity called a uniform to continue, when seeing more and more information indicating that they could have made a change.
They are awful.
And embarrassing.
It’s not that they’re ugly, it’s just that they are clearly mismatched.
It’s like seeing someone wearing a suit with pin stripe pants, a plaid jacket and a shirt and tie with some other combination.

And saying, “Yeah, I MEANT to wear this”

At least I said “fashionable”, in one of my responses.

Could be hope for me, yet! :D

Totally agree but I used to blame Nike. Sadly, it isn't their fault or shortcoming, someone from the Rams is asking for and/or approving all the skinny horns and bad re-designs. Nike hasn't had any trouble with keeping the Packers, Steelers, Raiders, etc. uniforms consistent.

Can't argue with this. The blind are leading the blind here. They don't seem to really care. It's almost as if Nike was trying to fit the horn into the same pattern as the gold stripe on the current uni shoulder.

Oh and the smaller shoulder pads changes the look of the shoulder horn too.

I wonder if they'll lose the shoulder horn for ad space?
