As a pure player he's worth a 1st but its buyer beware with that contract he carries with him. He's a 1 year rental out of the gate
I'd take a 4th for him at this point

Yea I agree, I think all of the teams are aware this is not a bad year to draft a DB. TJ's agent has said that 16-17 million a year is the target starting negotiation point for a long term deal. I think they will have to end up signing a long term deal cheaper than that and he and his agent will.

Problem is he wants top tier money in a good DB draft class. So I would take a 4th about now for him. In my opinion they had last year to sign him down and they should not have put themselves in this position by doing a one year deal. Only real hope we have dealing him is some team thinking they only need a corner to make the playoffs and big show this year.

I suspect he will be with us this year cause unless some team can get him to agree before hand he will sign a long term deal after a trade. I don't seriously think anyone is gonna take a flier on him for that kind of money for one year.

Yes they can trade him before the league year starts tomorrow, but like these free agent deals we're hearing about now, it wouldn't be official until tomorrow at 1 PM (Pacific).

Exactly. They can agree to the parameters of a deal but nothing is final until the league year begins. I'm hoping that they have a deal ready but aren't going to announce it until tomorrow.

FULL DISCLOSURE:
FACT: Since Demoff joined the Rams, the team has been abysmal.
FACT: As it was Demoff who fired Fisher, and who decided to retain Snead, it is clear that Demoff runs things for Rams Franchise Owner Stan Kroenke.
Ergo, the current Rams abyss belongs to Demoff. He owns it.
So, based on the above, I am NOT a big Kevin Demoff fan.
It has become my belief that Kevin Demoff is part of our LCS (Losing Culture Syndrome)!  :!:

THIS TRUJO CAPER:
Another sloppy personnel blunder from Kevin TheLittlePischer Demoff eh!

Yeah, let's try to unload the highest paid CB in the League (who missed 2 games in 2016 and had ONE interception :? ) in a year where the 2017 Draft is flush with top-flight CBs going all the way into the 3rd and 4th Rounds.

Brilliant plan! :x

Our best hope is that Gregg ILoveAllMyFormerGuys! Williams has enough influence with the Browns braintrust to pull-off the trade to get his guy TruJo, the same way he bamboozled Snisher & Demoff into signing that mook Titans CB Coty BurnedAgain! Sensabaugh last year.

Finally, if we just let UFA TruJo walk for 2017, and he signs a longterm deal with another NFL Team, just like Janoris Jenkins did with the G-Men last season, Los Ramos would be in line for a 2018 Compensatory Third Rounder, right??

Okay, let's see what great deal Kevin TheSorceror'sApprentice Demoff pulls off with TruJo....given we already had a 99th overall (or whatever Compensatory Pick) coming to us from the NFL League office in 2018, in the bag.

If Demoff pulls off a good deal, I will be only too happy to compliment him.....but given his past history, I'm not really all that optimistic. :(

Garcon just got 16M from the Niners. This show me that we don't fully appreciate the premium cost of FA.

Tru at his age is worth at least as much as Garcon on the open market. All the Rams need is a bidding war for Tru and they'll get a 2nd rounder.

But if they drag their feet on dealing him they won't have any cap space to buy a WR in FA. At least not one who is likely to help them much.

I'm far from a Demoff fan.

I think he's a phony bean counter who is in way over his head.

But ultimately this falls on Kroenke for keeping Demoff in place. Kroenke is a smart guy who must know that Demoff is in way over his head in terms of building a winning football team. Obviously, there is more to what Demoff is doing that is keeping him in place.

My bet is that the Rams will lose as long as Demoff is running the show.

The only thing that can save him is if McVay is a miracle worker. That's the only unknown here.
