Everyone says he's a genius, and that works for me. Fisher was NEVER touted a genius. Who else's name went along with genius? Billichek, Martz, Vermeil...now all labels aside, I'd rather have a smart guy back there on offense who can unspaghetti the offensive shoe laces and open it up then some ancient, true to his ways, player pleaser who lacks both offensive smarts and accountability. Let's see what we do in FA and the draft, and then see how he handles the preaseason. So far in his Rams' tenure, he is undefeated lol.

Of course I will give our new coach a chance, but I'm cautious. I wanted the Shanahans, but again, I will give McVay a chance, even though I'm scared giving the reigns to a young kid.

I feel exactly the same as you. I wanted Shanahan. I am very skeptical about McVay. I graduated high school in 85' too.

There certainly have been worse seasons than 2016, but to have your HC say that 10-6 is not acceptable...start 3-1, first place in the division...then finish 1-11...and realizing that the last 3 wins for the 49ers, dating back to the previous season, have all come against the RAMS...wow, that is a lot toxic bouillabaisse to have to stomach.

IIRC I think they agreed on a 3 year deal to hold camp in Irvine. Overall, I think it went very well. I do not recall any major setbacks. It was able to easily accommodate us fans. Even the hot days were not too bad. Added benefit is that it hits the OC fanbase (which will be even more important now that he Chargers are setting up shop in Costa Mesa.)
