That's a catch-22 though, isn't it? He may not be coaching him but he is the one who picked him. I don't have faith in any QB that Fisher had any connection to.

The demand was so high for that first game they opened and sold sections that aren't usually for sale.

They did 83.7k for Buffalo and 86k for Carolina.

It's early but the attendance is insanely good.

As a bottom line number, those are certainly good but 7,000 - 10,000 empty seats is another way to look at it. How long will the "back in LA" excitement hold up? A 10,000 drop from game one to game two isn't encouraging but the bump back up to 86 is. Hopefully some division games will help too. Buffalo and Carolina were weird follow-up games IMO.

Report is they haven't opened up all the seats since the home opener. Seats aren't empty they just aren't all available for purchase.

I think Goff isn't playing because Fisher's only other successful young QB draftee, Steve McNair, didn't play much either. 1995 and 1996 he sat behind Ram greats Chris Chandler and Will Furrer ('95 only). Fisher went 7-9 and 8-8, so, perfect seasons for him.

Then in 1997 McNair starts and things really come together in awesome fashion and the team goes 8-8. Oh. Damn.

Exactly, those seats way up by the peristyle usually aren't for sale, they're really far from the field.

But for the historic first games against Dallas and then Seattle, they opened those sections to let as many people as possible in the stadium.

The Rams are 2nd in the NFL in attendance. They were last last year.

There's absolutely nothing negative about the attendance in L.A. to this point.
