Enough with the "hand wringing", Goff will be fine. I also wanted Wentz, (saw him play up close a few times). He landed in a better situation than Goff did. When everything is said and done the cream always floats to the top. The only concern I ever had about Wentz (Elvis already mentioned), he has more guts than brains. Injury waiting to happen !

not only sitting on the bench, but according to his head coach far from ready to start the season, and nowhere capable of providing the "win now" ability of case the ace...

Wentz looks like a 10 year vet. He looked like Manning switching the plays and doing all this shit at the LOS.

It's real fun watching Wentz play.

Got to love the media. I listen to philly based ESPN radio often. And after the draft and even up to ps game 1, eagle nation was so down on the Eagles for drafting Wentz, thinking he was such a project, didn't know if the Eagles bought a bag of goods. Believe me, many were thinking that they would have preferred Goff.
Now after a good start it's amazing what you hear. Yesterday I heard a sound bite from some expert who was allegedly in the war room and he was saying that the Eagles nervously waited for the Rams to take Goff so they could get the guy they wanted in Wentz. First I heard of this and coincidentally it comes after his great start

gotta say dieter, that 's not the impression i got watching philly's first preseason game with the eagle's broadcast crew, it was absolute wentz mania, an absolute bradford who? fest, from the guys in the box to all of the fans flashing wentz signs... i swear, i don't think i've ever seen so much background footage of a guy cued and ready to roll every ten minutes as i did that night, shots of wentz as a child, as a tweener, college highlights, etc. etc... and when he finally trotted out onto the field to take over, holy moly, the place exploded...

Note I said "leading up to ps game 1". Lol.
I believe much of the excitement was also an extension of the disappointment in Bradford at the time. Yes the mania was evident during that game. But trust me when I tell you, there was so much doubt in that pick. The biggest honk on the philly fanatic is Mike missanelli and he has been opposed to the pick from day 1.

Wentz is still looking great. In the 2nd quarter, he's 11-14 for 133 yards and a TD.

Kid looks good. Philly had a good offseason.
Jury is still out on the Rams offseason. All the promising new blood is watching from the sidelines.

yeah, a great rookie success story so far, 300+ yards and a 125+ qb rating in a complete rout of the previously undefeated steelers...
