Was all set to watch last night but on the streaming plan, wasn't available.

Growing up in the Bay Area, you'd think Goff would've seen enough sunsets going down over the pacific to figure it out...

I have the episode recorded but haven't seen it yet.

As for the sun...yeah, that is weird. One should know that stuff as a kid. Crude compass navigation is always better than having no clue where you are and even less clues as how to get back to familiar territory.

As for the fans for the offensive players, I don't think that was a good idea. If Fisher wants the players to suffer a bit then Goff should stay out of the way. Otherwise, get the fans for all your teammates, not just your buds on offense.

As I recall Fisher said he told the players to bring fans since there was no A/C, so Goff did nothing wrong. Also nothing wrong with him taking care of his offense. Read all the time where QBs do things for their offense or OL.

My thought was why the team didn't provide those little A/C units, so I was happy to see that they eventually did. No reason they shouldn't.

I was surprised the three players were afraid to go into the ocean, but it was probably the smart thing to do instead of risk a freak injury (I believe they're all rookie UDFAs).

True enough, QBs will take their OL out for dinner and other stuff as well. However, in this case, being that the kid is new to the whole team, I'd bought fans for everyone.

The fans are a miniscule matter. Like I said, I haven't seen the episode as yet.

Fear of the ocean? Let me introduce you to my cousins who grew up in the Midwest. The big lakes have some "decent" waves, but take them to the beach here in CA and they will crawl into the fetal position.

I have some friends from the east coast where the Atlantic is fairly tame. They don't even want to watch the waves we locals handle here everyday.

That wasn't just some "ocean". That was infamous "Wedge" in Newport Beach. One of the most dangerous body surfing shore breaks around. There has been many a neck broken there. They were wise not to try it even though it wasn't that big on the day they filmed.

I know what beach it was, and I've been there many times (although it's been awhile since I've been there). A lot of kids are adventurous enough to go in the ocean at that beach. Like I said in the previous post, it's probably smart that they didn't really go in the ocean at that beach. You just think that big, strong, young, football players would like the challenge, and adventure.

Besides the obvious danger to their career. have you ever been to the Newport Wedge? It wasn't extraordinary large that day but after the initial wave backwashes off the jetty that place brakes with a very hollow, thick lipped wave and brakes in about 2 feet of water.
Not for the faint of heart or the unexperienced body surfer.
