The way I see it, no one is going to trade for him to take on that contract at his age.
Even if the Dolphins release him, and then he goes on the waiver wire,
I see no one picking him up because of that contract.
He'll be a FA and sign with some playoff team that wants him,
but not for some outrageous contract.
So, the RAMs could have an inside track. IMO

And that may be exactly the way they're playing it. That sounds like something they'd do. He wants to be here. If management believes he can be an asset........

It's either that or Miami will agree to eat a fair amount of that 2025 guaranteed money as part of the trade...

Might be in the minority here, but a potential Ramsey reunion doesn’t do it for me. Why not look at Asante Samuel if he’s still available, instead?

This is probably stupid but i'll say it out loud anyway: The Rams like to zig when others zag. With teams playing so much 2 deep, shell, zone, do the Rams think the CB position has become overvalued?

I think the “shut down” corner kinda has because teams play so much zone predominantly. Corners seem to be the most “scheme dependent” players. And the Rams get corners with the traits that fit how they want to cover. Run support/tackling are probably more emphasized now than they ever have been.

Maybe a little for sure, how much difference is there??! But I still think they want Ramsey.

I agree but we'll probably get him relatively cheap.

Rams haven't invested a lot of money or draft capital in the position since Ramsey the first time around. Maybe that's a thing.

And I think they like their corners more than we do. They def like their safeties, and they can fill some of the gaps. With a great pass rush you dont really need great DB's, they rather add to the DL as they did in the draft. Add a Ramsey and we are good. Supposely they were pretty high on DK before he got hurt too.
