I'm onboard with that. I'll add that if we get swept by the Cards by losing the 2nd game at home, then we don't deserve to win the division.

From what I've gathered from running different scenarios in the ESPN machine, we have the advantage in both SoV and Strength of Schedule (SoS) over Seattle.

I get that we need to beat the Jets this week and hope the Seahawks lose to Vikings for any of those tiebreaker advantages mean anything, but its good to know we have an advantage going in.

Since the Vikings have a better record than the Bears, does it matter in the tiebreak if Seattle were to beat the Vikings and lose to the Bears instead of the other way around?

Yes it matters. If Seattle were to beat the Vikings and lose to the Bears then they would have the SoV advantage.

That’s another reason to wait until next week to have a much clearer view.

Geez the clear path is to simply win out. If they can't win these very winnable last 3 games do they really think they belong in the playoffs?

With a record of 11-6, they will have earned their seeding, be it third or fourth. Tampa is playing well, but they could potentially lose one of their last three games. Dallas would be an easily overlooked game considering all their drama. But they might wake up, and the players might realize they are playing for their jobs. They also play the Panthers, whom they barely beat a few weeks ago.

The Falcons are only a game behind them but they will be starting Penix for the rest of the season. Morris might have waited too long to make the change at QB. But if they both tie at 10-7 the Falcons would take the tiebreaker for the division making the Rams 11-6 the number 3 seed.

This is why the Rams starters should play as long as they have the potential to move up in the seeding. You never want to pass the message that "good enough is good enough" to the team.

Should we be rooting for the Niners so our strength of vicotry improves? Just kidding, i'm never rooting for the Niners, but this could be a thing in some scenarios. We want teams we've beaten to have good records, at least for SOV purposes...

Really we just need the Vikings to take care biz and beat the Hawks (and we beat the Jets.) The rest dont matter much, well Go Panthers too lol

I know. Just win out and nothing else matters. But you could say that at the beginning of the year when the schedule comes out: Just win all 17 games and nothing else matters.

Still we consider all kinds of possibilities and scenarios. I'm not gonna stop.

But as far as the Rams go, i expect they are heavily focused on what's directly ahead of them: The Jets...
