Another guy I went back and forth with, he was right, he kept posting that it would be an open air stadium and I kept posting, why would Stan except a stadium that was not top tier that to keep the Rams, IMO, St. Louis had to offer something similar to what Indianapolis built in Lucas Oil Stadium. I felt that they needed something that could actually host a Super Bowl and maybe the combine could then be held in St. Louis.

hokahey kept to his guns and he was right, it was an open air stadium and that riverfront cookie cutter offer was not even considered. Maybe ESK was going to leave regardless, but IMO, the STL media and the so called "in the know" just did not understand that Stan's vision was far more than the Stadium and many like hokahey and Jim Thomas just failed to see it.

Oh, and it sounds like you were right in your conversations with hokahey. A rather polarizing individual. Tough to keep you cool with him sometimes.
Not that I seek revenge st all, but the grief I went through just having to bite my tongue so often doesn't leave me feeling sorry for him. He was a passionate fan though and that counts for something.

I could understand that, the guy who got under my skin the most was probably because I did not enter into a debate with him...That was tackledummy off the Herd board. Max did an amazing job on that site, but I don't post there just observe and he had me close to jumping in. Everything was so matter of fact they were staying and tried to give max a tough time, but nobody can do that, but I was pissed and since Houston, nothing, not a single peep.

I concur I don't want to boast, however, if you're wrong then post it God knows we all do, but I'm thankful you invited me to this site saved my sanity.

I remember Hokahey once saying something along the lines of "If you don't live here and attend all the games like I do, you're not as good as fan as me. This is my team, not yours". I'm paraphrasing, but thats pretty much what he meant.

Shane called Demoff a whiny ass. I'd say Shane is really like a whiny little bitch ass if you ask me. Bitter much Shane? St. Louis didn't deserve the Rams. They're not a good NFL market. I think what really pisses people like Shane off is that deep down they know Stan is right about St. Louis. I don't see them getting an NFL team for a very long time. And judging by their reactions I'm not sure they deserve one.

No doubt, max was always in the mix of it, telling it like it is, but still misunderstood by all those now invisible know-it-all's. Some choose fight and others choose flight.
Everyone can admit it now out loud, the team is home and where they belong. Stoked!

snack, that dude Gray has really lost his professionalism and perspective. I will admit that blowing StL off the way Grubman did (on the radio with Bernie) and the ultimate slam dunk vote. And while offering SD and OAK $100M to stay put and publicly deny StL basically the same thing, was certainly enough motive to fuel their contempt.
I'm not sure how I would react in the same situation. When they left for StL I remember being rather testy about it.
BUT, I am not trying to be the 'go to' voice of reason over the internet air waves with many following my lead.
He needs to maintain a professional decorum unless he's trying to be a 'shock twitter jock'. That 'letter' was just that, shockingly non-pro and miserably simple minded while admitting that he/they couldn't see what was right in front of their faces all along.
