8 catches on 15 targets for 221 yards. Some of those Stafford with poor throws. I say play him more snaps (got to set things up). He’s an easy button that we haven’t pressed often enough.

I find it hard to believe that in an “all in” Super Bowl run McVay could not have handled this differently. Yeah DJax initiated this but this is not the first time a diva receiver has complained about getting targets. If I am a commission based salesman and you send all the sales leads to someone else, I would be pissed also.

Wasn’t it McVay who wanted someone to take the top off the defense?
DJax’s production based on targets is a strong argument for trying to make it work. And what the heck is Tutu doing and why is Rondale Moore contributing for the Cards? I hope that the lack of a speed guy does not come back to bite the Rams later in the season. Touchdowns may be easy to come by now but things about to get tougher after Houston.

I like the idea of trying to get a stud LB.

The Raiders only have 4 WR's right now and have a backup Qb they need to unload, (no the Rams can't have Denzel Perryman). Not sure how many targets DJax would get in Vegas as Carr spreads the ball around a lot.

DJax can suck my big toe, I wasn't totally thrilled with the signing anyway and I was afraid of him being a whiner in the locker room.

He's proved he's still a speed burner though, he'll be more valuable to someone else.

If nobody is willing to trade for him, then inactivate him off of the game day roster for the rest of the season.

Woods is still fast enough to force a corner to cover him and draw a safety a step to his side. Van Jefferson is ultra fast.

And everybody thinks Cooper Kupp still runs a 4.6 forty, he is a LOT faster after his ACL injury than he was before.

This is a situation where an older and wiser coach, might be able to navigate this.

McVay's age and lack of life experience can sometimes prevent him from successfully navigating situations that might be easier for someone w more time in the trenches.

Even though we're winning, our coaches 1 dimensional thinking/decisions are be masked by superior QB play.

I love McV...but he shows his youngsterness often. I believe this is one of those times.

Nah, coach just does the Xs and Os and schemes around players skillset and ability (with multiple outs based on their skill and immediately opponents skill.)

When has McVay shown any ability to change the mind of a player and/or coach that works for him? If anything he demonstrates he fully supports their independent success and initiative (if they want to leave, he supports it and even helps them in as much as he can with his network and words.)

I think thats just his style. McVay can’t change the mentality of a player. He can only show his style (Rams style, we not me) and sort of show off his fb IQ by explaining his thinking. If that doesn’t convince you, you’re sort of on the outside looking in.

This came from Desean and also McVay’s inability to work him in as much as no 1 wants the ball (tho i dont think that would go as well as Desean thinks, he’s 34…)
