There's nothing wrong with McVay. He isn't perfect but he always has the team in a position to win. He can't throw or catch or hang onto the ball for these guys.

McVay didn't fumble on a simple run. Brown did. He didn't call for Goff to force it into triple coverage and throw an interception. He didn't fumble the ball on a scramble. Goff did. He didn't overthrow an open Henderson on a well designed play. Goff did. He didn't overthrow Woods for a first down late in the game. Goff did.

Just how many failures of the players is he supposed to overcome? With any kind of decent execution, the coaching was easily enough to win.

No there's nothing wrong with McVay. He didn't run outside 17 times in the first half for 27 yards against one of the fastest D's in the NFL. The RBs did. He didn't call 5 pass plays in a row in a tie game, from his own 25 with 3:11 left in the 4th and 3 timeouts......after gaining 61, 6, 6 and 4 yards on 4 of the previous 6 carries. Goff did!!! The folks saying "nothing is wrong with McVay" are the same folks who said, "Goff is a product of McVay's system". Is that the system Goff played at Cal?

McVay has been outcoached by Shanahan 4 straight times. Sure, it doesn't help that his quarterback stunk it up again. That his line can't open holes for the run game. That is two games in a row where running lanes were almost non existent. Is it the loss of Big Whit? Or are teams committing to the run knowing the passing game will suffer because of it?

Whatever the case, McVay is gonna have to figure it out. I don't see us sweeping both Seattle and Arizona. We need to win two of those 3 upcoming games along with a win over the Jets to get to ten wins. The Patriots defense is looking tough again. I don't know if we can score on them now.

If they cannot run the ball its gonna be tough. Goff needs that threat to work his play action. Not to mention slowing down the pass rush. He's not very good at off script plays.

That didn't work against Tampa. No running game at all and 51 throws against what was at the time the league's 3rd ranked defense.

Shanahan is older than McVay, they know each other well and this seems to work in Shanahan's favor.

McVay is a great coach but when someone has his number, he's not good at having an effective countermove.

Anyway we've played some really good games this year and some pretty bad ones. The season is probably gonna continue like that.

You can't write us off and you can't pencil in any wins.

That just seems to be how it is...

What bothers me is how much faster, stronger and more motivated the Whiners seem to be against us. They seem to "want" the the win more than we did both games this year.

Deebo outrunning the D on end arounds and refusing to be tackled by just one guy.
The Whiner RB's stiff arming our guys into the turf at will.
The whiner D looking pissed, confident and playing violently.

Why is that?
Is it coaching?
Do they just "match up" well against us like do against Shitattle?
How do we fix it?

Not that I like it but it does happen sometimes. I'm reminded of the Padres and the Dodgers. It never matters what their respective records are, the Padres always play the Dodgers tough.

We have owned Seattle lately as well as AZ, SF has owned us. Somebody chime in and tell me who Seattle has owned and who AZ has owned, in anyone, in our division. As much as I hate losing to the f’ers - and I fucking hate losing to them - we can lose to them twice every year as long as we make the playoffs and at some point win a SB or 2,3,4. Yen they can brag about owning us and we can tell them to kiss the ring(s).

in 3 of the 4 losses to shanny's niners (dating back to last season), mcvay's offense averaged a laughable 12 points per game (7, 13 and 16)... moreover, outside of the rams drives that ended in turnovers, the rams had 29 other drives that didn't end in turnovers, i.e. almost 10 per game.

and what did the rams do with those 29 non-turnover drives? they averaged just 21 yards per, punted a whopping 18 times (of which, stunningly, 12 were 3-and-outs), turned the ball over on downs 4 times, scored 4 measly tds, and 3 measly field goals.

if you ask me, that's the very definition of an opposition having your offense figured out.
