Forget that, didn’t you see Sharknado? I hope they had the foresight to be prepared for that!!

That’s classic. Man, I can remember back in the day that the Jets were playing their home opener and across the parking lot the men were playing the US Open tennis final. You’d see/hear the airplane drown out the announcers in the football game, then change from channel 4 (nbc) over time channel 2 (cbs) and hear the same damn plane flying over the tennis court. Lol

Earthquakes? Floods? King Kong?
I'm sure all possible disasters have been accounted for...similar to the Polynesians, the locals (ticket holders) will be randomly selected for human sacrifice.

Having been at Miller Park for a Brewers game that still had a rain delay because of the roof leaking, I guess that would be my only concern at SoFi for the spring.

Don't forget jet engines falling off jets (cause that happens frequently on short final) and crashing into the stadium killing everyone!

DirtyFacedKid wrote:I'm actually curious how loud the airplane noise will be. I lived on the north side of El Segundo for a year and you could not talk to each other when a jet took off. I know they're full throttle at that point and we're really only dealing with approaching/landing craft at SoFi but still...

I can answer that! I stayed at a Holiday Inn Express last night. (not literally. actually a really nice Marriot in Irvine. Any hoo....)

I was at Levis stadium once (not a whiner game) which is on the departure end of San Jose INTL and the jets pass about the same height and they are usually at about 90% power at that point. I was pleasantly surprised how little noise there was. Since I am into airplanes, I noticed but apparently nobody else did. At LAX on final over the new stadium we are at about 55% power.

When I visited the stadium a few months ago I didn't even notice the noise.

It is 100% NO ISSUE.

I am consistently amazed how concerned people are of this new stadium and its imaginary issues. Like no one considered this shit. :roll2: :roll2: :roll2: :lol2:

Agreed, these are serious considerations. The great Aztec leader Montezuma used human sacrifices...therein lies our solution.

And that rain that I mentioned would be a one in a ten thousand shot that would have to correspond with an event happening at SoFi at the same time.
