After his failure in St Louis it was understandable to question whether his success in NY was a product of the talent he had to work with, was possibly a fluke or a combo of both.
Well the book can be closed on that as he was able to work magic with this team. They were legit one of the worst defenses in the league last year and then lost arguably their best defensive player.
Spags had them playing some real inspired ball and deserves some major props.
He’s not the first and surely won’t be the last coach that is a great coordinator but couldn’t cut it as HC

Yeay, some guys aren't head coach material. Linehan had some decent to good years as a coordinator. Him and Spags will always have a job as coordinators but they will never be head coaches again.

Another thing I noticed, two years in a row the long time, experienced head coach won the Superbowl over much younger, less experienced coaches. McVay is getting that much needed experience. Now he's ready to progress to overseeing the whole operation. Won't be long before he's the experienced coach winning Superbowls.
