Owners of Gurley in FFL(like myself) aren't too pleased but the plan has been good enough to be within a FG of being 6-2 right now and could easily been justified as preserving Gurley for the stretch run.It's hard to imagine that this has been exactly what they intended but if they're basically holding Gurley back until the home stretch and it pays off, it will be a real feather in McVay's cap.As frustrating as it's been, I'd much rather see a pedestrian first half of the season by Gurley and a strong finish than the fast start and then disappearing the 2nd half like last year.
