I have never found Keyshawn to be the sharpest knife in the drawer.

Have you ever thrown a football when it was 25 degrees outside? I have. It's much different than when its 60 degrees outside. And Keyshawn explained it this morning as I talked about in my post above.

Well we will just have to honorably part company on this one. You made a case but I am not sold.

On this:
He also said there's nothing wrong with Goff, but he's just not the top level guy people thought he was a few weeks ago. He'll be fine when they get back to LA.

I think he is inconsistent right now--a lot of that having to do with the need to become a more experienced, sharper qb on the road against defenses designed to stop him---but the top level guy he appeared to be earlier on is still there. All qbs are off sometimes, especially on the road against challenging defenses, but going forward I do expect him to learn from things like that and so I expect the lows not to be as low and there to be fewer of them.

I know, I said that before the Bears game and he proved me wrong at this point (though the Bears game isn't ALL on him)....but I still think that what I am saying will be true in the longrun.

I must have missed those posts

Agreed.

If the cold didn’t matter why were a mid range field goal missed by each team? Why were so many throws off? Why were so many balls dropped?

I was at the game. I’m from the upper Midwest and am used to the weather. I was dressed heavily in layers. It was cold.

The one thing I noticed is after the game how very quickly the Rams and their support staff cleared the field. In decades of going to road and home games it seemed to be record time. Even going as quickly as possible from our mid level seats and begging our way through the club seat shortcut, there was not a single person on the Rams side by the time we got down to the sideline.

the bears had a blueprint on how slow the rams offense, the ravens had a blueprint on how to keep mahomes and the chiefs to 17 offensive points through 59 minutes of football yesterday, the cowboys had a blueprint on how to slow the saints offense.

their blueprints? they own the 1st, 2nd and 4th ranked defenses in offensive points allowed through week 14... does that mean these defenses can't be beat? no, but it means (imo) that chances are you're gonna have your hands full when you face them.

I don't think there is a disagreement on what Goff is. The only question is how far away from being a savvy consistent QB? The talent is still there. He will get better. But as I said before the game he certainly is not an MVP candidate or a top 5 QB and its debatable if he is a top 10 QB. He's on the cusp I think. I think he will get into the top 5 eventually but not this year.

Right now, how many of these guys is Goff better than? One or two, maybe?
1 Drew Brees,
2 Russell Wilson,
3 Patrick Mahomes,
4 Philip Rivers,
5 Matt Ryan,
6 Carson Wentz,
7 Aaron Rodgers,
8 Andrew Luck,
9 Tom Brady,
10 Ben Roethlisberger,

Especially if you're from LA and you have to go play in Chicago in December.

And how many of those are even close to Goffs age?

One.

Lets wait a few more years and give the kid a chance. He has already shown some sick skills.

Edit: So more or less I am agreeing with you. :)
