Since I grew up with the Rams in Anaheim, I always think of a link between the Angels and Rams.
Thought it was pretty cool St. Louis actually cheered loud and hard when the "other team" hit a home run. Do not recall anything like this happening in any sport? Maybe I am totally wrong though.

We also cheered heavily for Tony Gwynn when he was at 2998 hits and went like 1-14 here. IIRC he got hit 3000 in Montreal and also got a standing O from the big crowd of like 12000 fans.

I was at the game where Ken Griffey Jr hit home run 500 on a Fathers Day at Busch Stadium II. He got cheered and a good 90 second long standing ovation that was capped when his dad came down to the railing to give him a big hug.

Of course you did.
But I was talking about actual interaction, or point of view. Not loose cannon, radical, Bernie type drivel

I knew I was forgetting a lot. Now that I took a more than 2 seconds to think about it I recall Pujols also getting cheered in Seattle when he hit is... 600th? HR.

That's just pocket change to Stan. He should just pay it and be done with it. Unless that is some sort of concession the lawyers with the other lawsuit can use against him. Seems like the people of St Louis are having a hard time moving on from the relocation. A win in court is more exciting than wins on the field now. The bigger lawsuit is like their Superbowl.

I think the Rams started the case stating they weren't liable because John Shaw brilliantly set the original sales to go through a shell corp that was a combination government agencies and groups with the Rams only as the end customer.

Surprisingly it didn't make much news here yesterday. It was buried in the Post and the local NBC affiliate didn't get to the story until right before weather during the 10pm news last night. I really think the Blues win is putting the Rams in the rear view mirror.

$24 Million?
Isn't $24 Mil what Aaron Donald gets paid per year by Stan Kroenke?

So...like someone else wrote....chump change for ESK. :idea2:

For those who choose to not be a fan because of the owner, I hope they can move on and not be so bitter after several years. I'm sure there are also a fair amount of fans who still follow them.

Myself, I don't let an owner dictate my feelings for a team. I've seen several owners since I became a fan. Dan Reeves, Carroll Rosenbloom, Georgia Frontiere and now Stan Kroenke.

The one constant for me was the Rams. I didn't care who owned them. The Rams were my team. In LA, then St Louis and now back in LA. Some people can't let themselves be a fan because of their hatred for the owner. To each his own I suppose. But I won't let an owner dictate my feelings for my team. If I did that I woulda bailed on them when Georgia was in charge.

There would have been a lot less anger/bitterness if Stan hadn’t torched St. Louis on the way out of town.

Sure, but StL lit the match.

This award sort of balances out (the former) Rams Park for $1. deal.
