But you know what else? I am getting extreme pleasure from enjoying what at least one Billionaire built: SoFi Stadium and our Rams SB win.

I don't care about what the rich do with their money. I care about what I enjoy, and I enjoy what is happening now. Here.

ETA: I skipped over the tax payer thing, as it doesn't apply here.

I'm confused about your taxpayer/public funding statement. How does it not apply here?

The problem is Stan is the exception.

RedAlice wrote:IF I read that correctly - part of the issue is the Redskins sexual allegations? And how the NFL dealt with them?

I am also tired of sexual allegations being used as a weapon.

Well that, and other non NFL legislations endlessly stuck in the DC mire.

Did you not just answer your own question?

I cannot comment on politics. My opinions are extremely Texas. :D

To try to understand your point - I do not care about other places. I care about the Rams. END.

That's fine and you can continue to not give a eff about anyone else.

But at least for me, regardless of the Washington/Dan Snyder stuff or my self inflicted PTSD with the Rams, I still think it's bull for taxpayers to pay for sports venues. Ideally all of these should be paid for by the billionaire owners. And even if the motivation for this bill is wrong, I agree with its goal.

Sounds like they might try to copy Seattle or some of the CFL stadiums in their design.
The Bills envision the new stadium seating between 60,000 and 62,000 fans, with room for up to 5,000 more spectators on a standing-room-only party deck, a capacity in line with historic attendance figures. Approximately 80% of the seats will be covered by a partial roof or overhang. The stadium could open as early as 2026.

Further down the article it mentions they want to do a grass field.

New renderings hit today for the Bills stadium as the $1 billion city/county/state money gets locked in.

Part of the reason this is happening is New York state is paying off some of the obligations with Yankee Stadium and CitiField a little bit early.

1) Real football is played outdoors on grass: not indoors on plastic.
2) Even if they did build it with a roof in an attempt to attract one token Super Bowl, Buffalo would never get a Super Bowl due to lack of hotel rooms. Jacksonville is 50% bigger and they had to resort to parking cruise ships in the harbor.
