Who lead the RAMs into 3 playoff season and 1 SB...

With four winning season...

How many QBs can say that in his first five seasons??? Less than 10 QB without even looking it up....

Once again,,,
Fix the OL with a Center & Guard and get an over the top WR....
And we will be right on top again,,,

Even if you tried to get another QB
We will still need to fix those problems I listed for the offense...

Personally I feel that Kromer did a great job with the tools he had to work with...

But it still not up to par with other teams OL such as GB, TB, NO, KC, Bills, Pitt, Browns, Ravens, Indy, Tenn, Raiders,

As I stated in the past, our two weakest point, is in the middle of the OL,,, a Center & Guard...

If we can get two studs in the middle, we will be set....

I've said before Goff is very good when he has protection. And he can be very bad when he doesn't have protection. Finding a better replacement is harder than building the line.

The only problem would be if he's got the battered quarterback syndrome ala David Carr. Bulger developed that under Linehan.

I think with the complications regarding Goff's contract the prudent thing would be to build a better line and see if he plays up to his potential. If not, then maybe it would be time to move on the following year.

Exactly! Then if Goff fails next year and we let him go, at least we will have a good OL for the next QB.

Why would he have battered QB syndrome? He hasn't been sacked or hit a lot. Look at the numbers.

Snead and McVay are telling everyone Goff is not up to their standards. Snead made that perfectly clear to me yesterday.

Snead said McVay will always have his players backs, but he also has high standards. IMO, he is saying McVay no longer has Goff's back because Goff is not meeting McVay's standard.

That can only be interpreted 2 ways at this point, either they are trying to motivate Goff or they have a trade in the works. And the motivational reason doesn't seem smart to me. Drag Goff out in public shame for months? How is that smart?

It ISN'T smart. Even if you plan on getting rid of Goff, why the hell would you "devalue" what you are trying to "sell"?

I just don't get it. :roll2:

D'Marco Farr was on 101.1 in St. Louis this morning.

He's pretty much convinced Snead and McVay are just trying to motivate Goff.

Gary Klein (LA Times) was on ESPN radio this morning... announced as an "insider." His entire segment was based upon two comments: McVay's "right now" comment, and Les Snead's recent "at the moment" comment.

In other words, he's working off the same information we are.

Its pretty clear that the Rams are messaging this as "an issue." If its just to motivate Goff, fine (though Klein conceded that he's never heard anyone suggest Goff isn't a hard worker). If the goal is to (as Klein also put it) put him "on the trading block," I don't know that this is the most effective method.

Klein is an insider to the national public. But yeah, we know just as much as he does, maybe more because we are constantly researching information from every available source.

I still don't get how dragging Goff through public ridicule for months is a good motivational method. McVay is big on Bill Walsh's approach and there is nothing in Walshs books that uses that approach. Walsh's book "the score takes care of itself' his book on leadership that McVay called his bible says once you determine you don't want the guy you just get rid of the guy, you don't motivate him by hanging him out in public.

Just my 2 cents.

Farr works for the Rams, he says what they want him to say.

Let everyone think its just motivation, not that Goff isn't any good, thats better for trade value.

They're either communicating to the rest of the league, or they're communicating to Jared Goff.

If they're communicating to Jared Goff, the message is "your job is on the line, get better quick."

If they're communicating to the rest of the league, the message is "we've given up on Goff."

How is that better for trade value?
