The doubters have had over a year of tuning in and waiting. Goff is the one continuing to give doubters reason to doubt.

Goff led the team to the Superbowl last year.
The "doubters" have some pretty unrealistic expectations if that doesn't mean anything

I don't know that that is an accurate way to describe how everyone feels. Goff was certainly the QB on a SB team but that doesn't give him a free pass regarding his personal performance in perpetuity.

For over a year's worth of games now, Goff's production hasn't been particularly efficient or productive. He has gone a long while without snapping out of his funk and regaining his previous form and provided reasonable cause for skepticism/doubt.

And it's fine if someone wants to believe without reservation that he will regain what he had but it isn't a given in any way or cause to chastise those who don't share the same faith.

That's not an accurate description. Since the 2018 bye Goff has been up and down/inconsistent. That's the reality. And an additional thing is, the downs coincide with the OL being overmatched. The ups include games where Goff's clutch play at the end pulled out wins.

Though when the OL gets mentioned, we then usually have to endure the myth that qbs regularly elevate massively deficient or injury depleted OLs. I then mention the only 2 exceptions I know of, and never get much in the way of other examples from the myth upholders. That's when we get the rhetoric of things having to be "perfect" around Goff, which is also hyperbole.

Because there is no consensus on "massively deficient". For example, I don't agree with that description so how am I supposed to offer other examples? I've offered Jimmy G as an example of a QB who has had to deal with a lot of adversity this year in terms of continuity and personnel but I don't believe you've ever answered.

And describing Goff's last year+ of games as not particularly efficient or productive is absolutely correct. Relative to both other starters and to himself.

To this point, I feel like the Rams were sort of backed into a corner by the Wentz extension coming a year earlier than necessary. Maybe the Rams would have extended Goff early anyway -- they did with Gurley. But we'll never really know, because, Wentz.

Goff didn't make any public statements asking for the extension (like Donald did). But public pressure came anyway after Wentz was extended. I think the Rams probably felt like they wanted to avoid that media pressure and just get it done, since they'd already made the decision that they were going to extend him.

You can argue that it was premature, but they weren't operating in a vacuum.

There will be some questions answered against Seattle. The reality is every game from here on in is a playoff game and the competition is going to be really tough for at least 3 of them. If the Rams do make the playoffs they will have certainly earned it.

Puts a zip on the ball many cant (according to those who witnessed him up close)
Needs to put on some muscle.
Needs to stop fumbling when the pocket collapses.
