It's been awhile since I've seen that movie but wasn't #16 actually Tom Jarrett?

It was Joe Pendleton in Tom Jarrett's body! Although they made him forget that he was ever Joe Pendleton, but Tom Jarrett never played so well.

"The Man"

Image

No one can top Warner for Rams fans but Dan deserves major props. Very much a guy that I would have loved to have seen on a more balanced team. When his time in Miami was coming to an end there was a rumor that Pittsburgh really wanted him. Sadly, my prayers to the football gods for that to happen weren't answered. His legs must have really been killing him by then but man, would that hypothetical Steelers team have been fun to watch. Dan Marino with a running game(Bettis/Zereoue) and throwing to Hines Ward and Plaxico Burress? Even with Marino at 39 years old that would have been sweet. Especially compared to godawful Kordell and "Turnover" Tommy Maddox.

Unfortunately, Marino will forever be one of the "what could have been" guys. Like Fouts or Barry Sanders or a number of others, their greatness was never realized in championship form.
