Conceptually, I don't disagree with you but realistically, think about all the "involved" owners of today's NFL. Would you realy want a Jones or Snyder or the like?

If I had to choose between involved and behind the scenes, I'd choose the latter. Kroenke has spent plenty of money and provided the team with leadership and resources. I can't ask for more than that as a fan.

For the most part, I think the only time Kroenke is criticized for not being more out in the public is when someone is frustrated with the re-location situation. They want him out there telling the fans how much he loves them and how he'll never move the team. Which is understandable. Fans who are potentially going to lose their team want to know what's going on and to have someone to direct their angst.

But when it comes to the football side of things, I think Kroenke's done a fine job. Granted, I don't really agree with his choice to lead the team but that's not to say that it's a poor or uninformed choice. Kroenke let's the football people run the football operations and provides them with all the money and opportunity they need.

Maybe he isn't the best ever but he's pretty darned good and I'm happy the Rams have him. Compared to the owner of the previous 35 years, I'm ecstatic.

Only people who don't like esk are local morons like Bernie who never acknowledge the cvc broke the lease. They're the same people who have sympathy for Spanos who has Fabiani running his mouth Non stop and bashing SD. Has Jeff Fisher worked out at this point? No. But he was the most sought after coach at the time back in 2012. Of course, these are the same people that think GF was a good owner.

As I said. You don't need a flamboyant owner in everyone's face to win a title. Just have a guy willing to spend money, stay out of the spotlight and hire the right people. That third thing is easier said than done. Doesn't make him a lousy owner.

If "the stache" likes to win so much and so badly, why does his RAMS team not reflect that winning drive and record?

Frankly, L.A. or Anchorage, I don't care. I want a winning football team. Too bad it is not that simple and is about soooo much more than football.

Jerry Jones is the Cowboys GM, can't think many fans want their owner to be the team's GM.

As much hate as Georgia gets (and deserves) the Rams have only won 1 SB and played in 3. She was the owner for all 3...

Pretty clear he likes to win at business. I'm not sure how committed he is to winning championships...

Interesting factoid but she had nothing to do with the first one. Or was that your point?

Somehow, I don't think I'll ever be able to reconcile this.

Maybe we'll get a few more under ESK, so I don't actually have to think about the "above" :)
