Los Angeles Rams...get used to it..

Never have gotten used to the sound of St Louis Rams.

Since they've been there I haven't bought any gear. Still have a few jerseys in my drawer, Everett, Dickerson, and Garbiel (B&W).
It would be so awesome to be able to go to a local sporting goods store and buy Rams gear again. Oh and what I'd give for the return of the random Rams article on the local TV news or newspapers from time to time. I still miss that.

Been in the Bay Area most of my life, so RAM information was limited. However, back when my grandparents lived in Santa Barbara a nice benefit of visiting them, aside from living next to Goleta beach, was watching the "Rams Coach's Show" hosted by Chuck Knox. Plus, the local Santa Barbara paper covered the RAMS.

In high school and college I subscribed to the LA Times, during the football season, just to get my fix up here in the Bay Area.

I concur Gentlemen and I would be so looking forward to going to California every year for a game. Always enjoyed my time in St. Louis, however, I was in California every other year from 85-94. Now it's really hitting me each time I read something that suggests Carson or the Rams staying in St. Louis my blood pressure goes up and I get upset. I realize still anything can happen, but all of us know that this would be so great for the franchise the thought of playing in a van down by the river is just sad!

There's going to be a lot of positive news coming out of Carson in the next couple of months. SD and the Chargers are negotiating, same goes for OAK and the Raiders so it makes sense to keep the pressure on both cities, keep the threat alive. Be prepared and be patient Inglewood is happening

There is no way anybody will say a thing until after the season starts (with the remote possibility of Kroenke) .
Only the cities are making noise, not the teams so I take what the cities are saying with far less value. Our mutual position has a silent owner and LA isn't fighting so noise is being made. As someone mentioned, the press for Carson is good for Carson. No one ever heard of Carson or if they have the think of it as the blighted refinery capitol of Ca. [sorry bubba].

den, if we do lose out in this, I admit I'll be bitter. It will take some of the joy out of the NFL after getting smacked twice by them. And I'm not sure this won't be the only site I frequent as the StL guys will 'Show Us" all how wrong we were.
I will admit though, if the Riverfront 'van' is built it will be a million times better than the rusty beer can they are playing in now. The Rams future will have an improved viewing/playing experience one way or the other.

Thinking out loud and echoing BRT's comment, the leverage must continue because I believe the best CA plan is 2 team in NoCal and 2 teams in SoCal. Whether the SoCal reps are both in LA is flexible in the Inglewood scenario. Wouldn't it be better exposure to have a Superbowl city in two locations in sunny SoCal? (SD & LA)

Let's not forget that the NFL want's this solved now and only 2 projects will be far enough along by August 11, StL and Inglewood. Now StL is 46 days away from the meeting. Now their debatable shady dealings are becoming public. The league will be careful who they get in bed with.

And wouldn't it have to be considered by the NFL if SD came up with a viable plan at least comparable to that in StL. If they forced ESK to stay and let SD go under those circumstances, I would smell more than methane and I would imagine so would Stan.

Lastly, we need to remember they did not move up the timeline to help StL, Oak or SD. Everybody could see that. There is no foreseeable benefit to do that other than to help ESK prevail.
Prevail = the return of the Los Angeles Rams to LA where the league didn't want to to leave in the first place.

I grew up in Fresno, which happens to be 49er/Raiders territory. But I was able to get my Ram news because my father would bring home a LA Times paper every day after work. It was his favorite paper because he was from LA before I was born. Local stations didn't broadcast many Rams games. But I still got to watch them because I would go outside and adjust that 30 foot tall antennae to get a Bakersfield station which showed all Rams games. It was a little snowy but I could watch my Rams every week.

Lol, sometimes a 49er friend would come ever and say "Why you wanna watch a snowy game when the 49er is nice and clear?" I'd tell him I'd watch a blank screen with just the sound before I watched the 49ers over a Rams game.

Prevail = the return of the Los Angeles Rams to LA where the league didn't want to to leave in the first place.

I've only prayed once to the good lord for sports and that was for me to experience at the very minimum one Super Bowl triumph and that prayer was answered in 1999. Never thought it was right to pray for your team to win and I'm not an overly religious man, but as God as my judge I truly want my Rams back in Los Angeles and my humblest apologies to the great people of the Gateway City.

The early January announcement that Rams owner Stan Kroenke is planning an extravagant Inglewood stadium sent shockwaves through NFL circles, but -- according to those with direct knowledge of the proceedings -- was met with quiet applause at the league office, which has been waiting for a powerful plan like this one to get behind. And despite St. Louis and Missouri officials responding quickly with their own stadium vision, the momentum here has very clearly shifted west.

Remember, the league has a huge interest in making Los Angeles work, one way or another, and this project seems to meet the right-team, right-owner, right-stadium threshold.

The way it's been laid out to the clubs, the league wants the L.A. stadium to be an iconic venue that's a sports and entertainment destination. This vast property would satisfy that, with a number of projects expected to pop up on the periphery within the grounds around the team's home, creating a West Coast headquarters of sorts for the league.
