Last year we called the Rams/Saints game "the divorce bowl."

I came home from watching the Saints/Eagles game with friends today and said, "it's on."

Never been in this situation before where our interests are so clearly in opposition with the stakes so high.

But in reality it's fine...

LeBron was in the Rams Locker room. I wonder if it means something? He is going to sign as a red zone target for the NFC title game, and maybe the Super Bowl if we get their? Hmmmm. :lol2: :lol2: :lol2: :lol2:

Also, either way, one of your teams are in the SHOW, as painful as that will be to the other partner.

Noon Pacific? Dang.
Go get em, Rams!
Wonder if they'll rock the throwbacks on the road? Probably not but it's the NFC Championship. Gotta look good.

I wonder if someone could make have Drake in a Saints hat.

If not, here is the closest I can get to a Drake curse, Alvin Kamara, being in a Drake music video back in the summer.

Frankly, I think we lose this game because of our pass defense and inability to generate pressure on Brees due to the fast-pass short game at which he excels. The only hope is to out score them and create turnovers.
Goff will have to play out of his mind.

I’m not sure how we win this game if Goff doesn’t play extremely well. And that may not be enough if Brees doesn’t get hit.

FiveThirtyEight has our chance of winning at 36%. Sounds about right to me.

We don’t have Kupp who played great against Saints last time, but we have Talib, and added CJ and Fowler. Saints have lost Rankins. That seems to be an overall plus for us.

I think we’ve got a punchers chance. The key is disrupting Brees.

Let me ask you this (and I want you to be completely honest)... wasn't that your thought process before the Cowboys game?

And, while Jared Goff didn't play badly, in my opinion, he certainly did not play "extremely well," and was not the driving force behind the offense.

My point is... there are many ways to win a game, and the Rams just showed us that they can do it the old fashioned way.

I thought Goff played pretty good, a couple of catches that coulda/shoulda been made and his day looks different.
As it was, I saw he was 5/8 on 3rd downs, with 4 first downs and a 4th down conversion on the 4th and 1. Throw in the HUGE 3rd and 7 RPO run, and he sure did a lot.
So that's 6 of 9 conversions. I'd say that's pretty good.
Will be interesting to see how NO plays us on D. Will they keep an extra lineman in the box now?
