Since the relocation fee usually goes to all of the owners, that might feel (to the other 29 owners) like they're paying for SD and Oakland to keep their teams.

That solution might not seem as golden to them as it does to us...

So Chargers and Raiders can't pay for new digs locally (especially the Raiders who constantly talk about their 400 million dollar short fall in Alameda), but they're each going to split a 1.7 billion dollar privately financed stadium and also 500-600 million in relo fees a pop? Again, going to call BS on their part. I don't give a rat's ass about Goldman Sachs, G4 loans, relo fees spread over time and ludicrous PSL projections to make the theoretical math work. Money is money, interest is interest and business is business. Last I checked, GS wasn't interested in building teams stadiums on the house either. Of the three owners, fill me in on the one who can actually deal with a project of this magnitude and does this as a living?

Only way it works for one of these guys is as a tenant with Stan.

Thanks OldSchool. And I agree it makes the most common sense too. It would seem worth it to ESK if he get's LA alone too. (as it should be imo.)
Is that enough for Spanos though,, market share loss and all ? If Spanos didn't have to pay it back that might amount to something. An olive branch arrangement where ESK basically gives Dean a gift besides relo fee. Mucho dinero.
Also Carson = 3 teams in 2nd choice stadiums.

Exactly. I was writing the same thing (while fixing a pump, and song mix outputs) and don't see where the G4 or this fee should be the same thing. Some other sort of payment / fund / gift something would need to be made.

Perhaps ESK develops Spanos' SD project at a huge discount or builds it and donates it to Spanos. He get's the construction perks (maybe some back-end from hotels or office space) and a huge write off. NFL get's fee from Stan and NFL loans the money to Davis.
or
Stan pays relocation and receives G4 (even after move) and uses it in San Diego (is that legal?) for Spano's stadium / surrounding project. NFL very friendly on G4 repayment terms.

A backroom deal will be struck or the fix is already in and has been for a while...

If Spanos wants to move to LA badly and Kroenke is amenable to a sweet tenant deal (that may also include sharing of non NFL related profits), there isn't as single reason why this cannot be facilitated. Especially since Inglewood is the preferred NFL location and Oakland would like to stay in their city more than the Rams/Chargers. The Raiders would get money in this situation to help build a stadium up north.

The notion that it has to be Carson or nothing else for the Chargers looks very suspicious. The speculation there are other forces behind the scenes in play here like AEG or GS trying to block Kroenke from LA is gaining more validity IMO.

Hack I hope to God bro Stan does not help him out or the NFL pressures him to. I am so fed up with the entitled attitude in today's world. Dean inherited his good fortune I get so tired when I hear quotes by other NFL inheritor owners saying how they owe him. It is just 100% pure intellectual inbreeding at it's finest. The only thing the fellows owners owe Dean is the right to compete for the market no more and no less. I would only hope if they do force Stan to help him and foster in more of the sense of entitlement even amongst the affluent. The NFL would complete the process and come full circle and every year instead of a Super Bowl they have a awards ceremony where all the teams are handed out their participation trophies.

Exactly, Fred, and we ALL know who that team is.

So, why are we even talking about the Charaiders? Gotta be another agenda at play.

No argument from me bro. Just looking at scenarios that might help the LA RAMS happen. Considering the nepotistic buffoons running the show

2 teams would have more overall fans in LA over 1,,,
but fewer than oak sd combined. LA way more than stl straight up. Most fans is $ for NFL.

Dude, the elite have believed they're entitled since the beginning of time. There is absolutely nothing new here. The 2008 bailout is a great example of this.
