Yes ... almost magical ... Goff using his eyes like a tractor beam to move the safety to the opposite side of the field that he planed to throw to. Brilliant!

Just heard the guys on ESPNLA say that if Wentz was on the Rams he wouldn't have to run, and then could make the same throws that Goff makes. D'Marco Farr just listened to that and said nothing.

How stupid is that.

I guess that's his way to keep Wentz at least equal to Jared.

There's nothing wrong with Wentz. He's a big time qb too.

But Goff's game is very different from his. The things that make Goff special, they're not always as dramatic. A lot of people will have to see throw after throw like the special ones we saw v. Minn and LAC before they can appreciate it. And those are on their way.

Meant to post this last night. Rams LT Andrew Whitworth did a nice job summarizing how Jared Goff has elevated his game: “I think he’s grown to where now it’s not about trying not to mess up plays or be accurate or whatever. It’s about him being the reason that we’re special.”

It will be interesting to see how long it takes for people to catch up to those of us who recognize the quality of Goff's play.

But it’s nothing more than a trivial curiosity, really. Kind of fun to watch seemingly intelligent fans suddenly realizing Goff is really good after he wins a SB.

I’m confident that Goff is special, and I roll my eyes when I hear established sports writers say Goff’s floor is now Andy Dalton after last night.

Goff was awesome. Quite a long way from PFF saying after week one, "good to know the Rams can win with Goff playing like crap".

First, I agree with all that. But...I can't resist so if you don;t mind I'm going to call my own number. This is me from a while back.

I have personally seen what I would call flashes of greatness in him. There are a few plays by now that we all agree were good ones on his part (even if they resulted in drops). To me those plays don't just display arm talent, they display decision-making and "quick action" talent. They were, to me, more than just great throws, they were great examples of seeing, processing, deciding, acting.

I can see a Goff coming who will have his feet under him, be confident and solid and in sync with the offense (and right now all of that is inconsistent). When that happens, I can see play after play in game after game where we Rams fans go "man did you SEE that....whoa...yay."
