I am still pissed off about Brock as our QB. There is absolutely no freakin reason why that team could not have gotten a better QB to lead that offense. Had they done so, they most definitely would have gotten ED a ring.

I think the receivers are very poor. Kenny Britt isn't a number 1 receiver and in a good offense is a ideally three. Tavan Austin is not a guy you can line up and throw to consistently because of his size, but he's player you can move around on offense and give some hand offs to and run screens with. The tight end position has been a total non factor. Cook is horrendous.

We have BIG problems WR/TE position. The problem is solving that is not an easy fix. This upcoming draft doesn't look great at top WR talent. Plus rookie WR's usually take time to develop, with the rare exception. Teams these days don't usually let good recievers go to FA, unless your the Eagles. And they are usually prohibitively expensive and come with some baggage/risk. We just need some guys that are reliable. Maybe target some guys that are good but not great. Hell, I really don't know how to solve the problem. I'm really puzzled by the disappearance of Stedman Bailey.

Yep. I'm glad they finally decided to blow up the old O. Fish and Snead (Deveany) have done as well as could be expected I guess after what the previous owner and her hires did to the team.
also agreed that last year the O-line was the priority. Next year too,, but now and upcoming, we need a WR that can change a game. they need to invest a high pick on a pass catcher. Those pigs your are referring to Hack, are the guys on the wings who just cant seem to hold on to the rock.
What did happen to Bailey, Cook, Kendricks, Quick and now even Britt-le??

We can't expect the passing offense to turn it around from one game to the next. We just need to get better at one aspect for now. 3rd down conversions. It gets old knowing you're going to see a 3 and out to start the game. I know at some point Gurley will break a big one. Tavon will provide some excitement. But picking up a few first downs along the way would be nice. Imagine how good we could be if we could pick up an early score on occasion.

It seems like we've been having this "we need a stud WR" discussion for eons.

I would settle for a Ricky Proehl type guy and a sure handed middle of the road TE that can block.

So let's ponder this.
If we had a hard to find Brees, Brady or Manning type QB, would our CURRENT receivers suddenly be good enough? Could that caliber of a QB bring our WR's to life? .

Or, as I surmised, would finding a stud WR elevate the other receivers through diversification? Sure seems we're pretty solid most everywhere else now.

Or is it a design flaw in our play calls / design that leads to receivers not getting open short or quickly leading to roll out throw-aways or long bombs over the top.

Is Foles good a quick reads and timing routes, are the plays flawed by design to offer different release counts, or are the receivers not getting open?
