This is a sad showing by San Diego, but also ironic. This event has way worse attendance and way worse passion than St. Louis yet they have 15k more fans per game in SD than they do in St. Louis...

It's a military town with a million more people, there are always tons of away fans at the stadium. The Chargers honestly don't have a very big showing anywhere, if I was Spanos I'd be looking somewhere else, like Toronto. Fresh start with rabid fans who don't care about records (The Maple Leafs are enough proof of that)... He's second fiddle in LA, he's basically second fiddle in San Diego, look elsewhere.
