Thinking about what Florio said.

What if they tell Stan to pony up a lot of cash and buy out the Chargers and maybe Raiders and you can have LA forever? If not forever perhaps 20-40 years or whatever. I could see that happening.

Well, Alex Spanos is the owner right? And a self made guy? Not sure why Dean gets all the pub. I agree with you, Dean doesnt appear to be a Rooney or a Mara who toe the NFL company line from generation to generation. Seems like Dean is more a rich kid taking over the franchise and does the NFL need another MArk Davis?

It's probably personal, the Spanos family has bee friends with the Hunt family for years, they've known Dean since he was a kid, that kind of thing.

But even if that's the case, i gotta think business wins out.

We're getting close to that October meeting, shit is starting to get real...

Could be they do love him, but in my opinion much of this supposed love is the creation of Fabiani who knows how to work the public perception he did a good enough job for the Clinton's through whitewater and what is the definition of sex and is. So I think some of this love is just the PR perception Fabiani has created for public consumption.

Still dont understand why they love him for desiring to desert San Diego, but Kroenke gets no love for doing the same in St Louis?

Ugh, the Vincent BonsIGNORE tweets.

I'd never heard of this guy before the NFL relocation saga, and I'm convinced he works for the Chargers and/or Mark Fabiani. Literally 85% of what he says is pro Carson/Chargers/Raiders in one form or another and the only 15% he gives to Inglewood is to fake his impartiality.

In my opinion bro it is the difference between perception and reality. Sometimes they can be one and the same and well sometimes perception is never near reality. Ya have read my opinions elsewhere how like ya said he is a inheritor. A difference in all of this between a man who was handed down and a self made man is their actions.

Stan found his place and then announced he would build so he goes and hires a builder and a architect.

Spanos says he will move and he goes and hires a fixer then sets out to find a place to build then again hires Carmen Policy.

From the outset a natural progression would say ya should have in your possession some land if ya intend to build something on it. A first step box check, one Peacock has not come to understand so far when says well we are doing good we are just checking off boxes...LOL So anyway if I am wrong since Hack is a builder he can either attest to my opinion or point out how I am wrong.

So it would seem to me if ya ever want to build or decide to build the first thing ya would want is your money in place as if this step is not done first ya can't do any steps after. Next I would think ya would have to have the land cause without it ya can only build your dream in never never land. So so far to date all Spanos has is the same dreams ya have on draft day after ya make your pick, possibilities and potential.

Which possibilities and potential often time never are the reality we envisioned them to be.

So like I have said elsewhere when Shane was lauding Spanos as a victim and how he deserved a stadium because he has tried for years and years. My reply back was why would I entrust the second biggest market to a guy who has been fighting the same battle for years. As I said before Spanos was told no and like the little engine he just kept saying I think I can I think I can for years now. Meanwhile Stan ask StL for his upgraded stadium they say no and he says fine I will build my own.

If the NFL chooses Spanos they should be prepared to do what I am sure his daddy has had to do for many years and that is hold his hand. His daddy is not in so good of shape so what did he do go hire Fabiani and Policy so they can hold his hand. Meanwhile ya have a guy who needs no help as he can do for himself.

So anyway I think a lot of this is just media perception that they get from second hand accounts. As we will not really know what all the owners think until a vote and something tells me the owners have been silent. So it leaves the media to use second hand accounts and speculate. Of course in the middle of all this ya have Goldman who is working as a consultant for StL and also happens to be the money behind Spanos in contact with Fabiani. So no conspiracy theory here but reality is ya have two cities who's goals are tied together and a banker who is profiting from both. Ya have a owner who's first move was to hire a PR guy instead of securing financing or land.

So for me it is not hard to base the perception the league loves Spanos as maybe the perception some want us to see and the only money spent so far by Spanos was in locking up Fabiani and Policy so he could have a favorable public perception. Meanwhile the reality is Stan has the money, has land and has his builder and is waiting on permits so the shovels can hit the ground.

So I am not so sure that what we are questioning is really reality or we are just questioning the perception that the NFL loves Spanos.

History teaches us 2 of the greatest PR campaigns were for bacon and diamonds. At one point our bacon industry was close to non existent and was losing ground. So a campaign began to use bacon as a breakfast food and market it as such. As prior to this bacon was a dinner food. The campaign was so successful can any of us imagine bacon never being a breakfast food? Diamonds prior to the end of WW2 were another industry just getting by their campaign was to market to the women back home waiting for their men's return the ideal and notion a diamond is forever just like your love. This campaign was so successful do any of us know of any woman who doesn't want a diamond when ya lose your mind and propose......LOL I mean when ya decide to embark upon that journey together ;) So like I said I am not all so sold we are not just seeing the perception from the intended campaign or PR.

The Spanos family is Italian and Vinny is Italian.

Mark Fabiani is Italian too.

I could imagine them eating pasta together and drinking fine wine.
