How many positions are there on a team? 14 owners starts to thin out the waiver wire quite a bit, doesn't it?

Yea it really did the folks who jumped on it early the first few weeks had a advantage. I know by week 6 or 7 and after when I would have injuries I did not even bother because the 50/50 chance the injured player might play still offered a statistical better option.

So how good or lucky ya drafted for starters and depth played a major role in how your season was going to turn out. I took a few flyers in the draft looking back now I would not have if I had considered the size and waiver wire.

This year I don't plan to be as half hazard in the draft and not wait till injuries to replace guys who last year I gave them a week or two longer than I should have to see if they might produce.

Last year was the first time I ever played in a league that size so was fun in the way that it really did make your draft much more important than the normal smaller leagues I have played in.

So should be another fun year and this year I know on draft day I can't just say I will take a number of guys as flyers and play it by ear, but have to resolve whoever I take I may be stuck with the rest of the year and if so can he get the job done if I need to use him as my starter the rest of the season. So should be a great time again this year and more fun cause I am sure a number of us will be thinking that same way so will make the draft even more competitive than last year. So should be a great season.

Yea, you definitely won't find a stud sitting on the waiver wire just chilling with 14 teams and the positions we have. However, this really challenges you to draft well, be VERY quick at picking up the FA's when there is someone unexpected blowing up the league, or an unexpected injury. I have another league that at one point in time had 18 players with even more positions. That IS slim picking trust me ha...

This was one of my worst performing teams, but one of my most enjoyable leagues.

It's not impossible with 14 teams, as answered above. It only gets to be a pain with 16-20 teams. You just have to be up on the waiver wire and pay attention.

What date are you thinking for the draft? Just started entering my draft dates on my calendar today, so far no conflicts. Yay.

No dates planned quite yet. I usually try to have it the weekend before the opening week. We'll play by ear as we get closer to it!
