I might have found a RB I'd like to see in horns....

Verse recruiting...

Apparently Verse has not been quiet about wanting Azareye'h Thomas as a Ram, and we do need a CB. But do we use our 1 to get him? I doubt it. I think our 1 goes to the offense.

If The Rams think Genty is Todd Gurley I can see a trade up for him. Is he Todd Gurley. After a Super Bowl run with Saquon Barkley I can see them doing that.

Jeanty reminds me of Emmitt Smith. Very similar size. Both have/had good speed, great vision, feet and acceleration.

I hope their FA moves allow them to focus on those positions, Mulder. That would be ideal. It’s a good TE class and a decent WR draft. And they might get the WR in FA. It will be fascinating to see how this all plays out.

They need to keep solidifying their brand in LA. They need to win to do that. Everyone knows it so I expect them to act accordingly. They can’t do “down years”.

That wouldn’t bother me. The RB room would be stacked and MCV would be inclined to run the ball even more. Helping Stafford in the process. And the defense.

Dane Brugler has the 5' 8" Genty listed at #5 on his most recent Top-100.

Dane Brugler wrote:With his low center of gravity and explosiveness, Jeanty has an uncanny ability to stay afloat through contact and be elusive in space. He led the FBS this season with 151 forced missed tackles, 57 more than the No. 2 player on the list.

He trusts his vision when following his blocks, but instead of predetermining his path, he displays outstanding reactionary reads to sort, cut and create (12 carries of 50-plus yards in 2024; no other FBS player had more than five).

Wikipedia wrote:BARKLEY Pre-draft

Barkley during New York Giants training camp in July 2018
Entering the 2018 NFL draft, Barkley was widely projected to be a top 10 NFL pick.[40] In the weeks leading up to the NFL Combine, Barkley's stock rose even higher. By late February 2018, some mock drafts projected him as high as the second selection overall,[65] the highest for a running back since Reggie Bush in 2006. ESPN analyst Mel Kiper Jr., who has history of not supporting the selection of running backs in the NFL draft's first round, said "Barkley is a once in a lifetime talent; teams that pass on this young man will be sorry."[66]

At the combine, Barkley had a performance that was widely praised, running a 4.4 second 40-yard dash and doing 29 bench presses of 225 pound weight, tying for the most reps by any running back at this combine.[67] According to NFL analyst Ian Rapoport, the Cleveland Browns were "strongly considering" drafting Barkley first overall, which would have made him the first running back since Ki-Jana Carter in 1995–also of Penn State—to be selected first overall.[68]

I have two questions that I don't know how to answer:

#1. When do you deviate away from the "Never draft a RB in the 1st" idiology?

#2. Does it do any good to draft the next Generational RB if the team doesn't have the horses in front of him?

Gotta admit Philly's Zone, Gap, Counter runs as executed by the O-Line was brilliant all year long.

Gentys explosive would be perfect for the Rams in Sofi. Especially with Nacua. Really allows the Rams to play any way they want.

You never know. CB is a popular 1st round selection. Along with Edge (our need is not high), LT (our need is certainly there), QB (not gonna happen in the 1st) and WR (we could use help there too). I'd bet money it's going to be a LT or CB. Darkhorse is TE, if one of the top two make it to #26.

Pretty impressive. Pass catching skills, change of direction, pretty good long speed - not elite, but better than K Will/Corum.
