Don't you think havimg the first overall pick they traded up to get had something to do with that?

I think Snead means picking one in the first round is a reach. What good is having a 5th year on a dud?

Most, if not all of them, project as projects.

I will be shocked if the Rams took Dart or ANY QB in the first rd. I’d be mildly surprised if they take one at all. Maybe in the 6th as they have 4 picks.

If Dart is there at 26 we should pick him. A year or two under McVay/Stafford and he'd be a legit threat to be a top 10 QB imo.

But he will be gone by then.

Instead, I think a sleeper to keep an eye on is Jalen Milroe. Easily the most athletic QB in this draft. Dude is built like a tank and has the cannon for an arm to prove it! Very much of the Jalen Hurtz/Josh Allen stature. But Milroe is ABSOLUTELY a project. A ton of raw talent and skill but it is in desperate need of refinment and control. Not sure Milroe goes in the first round, but if he slides into the second and we can turn our 1 into an early 2 and a 3. I'd say do it and take a shot on Milroe. It's a gamble for sure, but the upside if he hits is unfathomable.

I still think the Rams go TE in the 1st, maybe trade back and still go TE or WR. Keep an eye on QB Mcord. He may be some one we go after in the 3rd if he's still there.

I 100% agree with you on the TE. That was my first thought, and it continues to be my belief that a blue chip TE with good hands opens up McVays offence in a way that drafting another WR won't.

I LOVE McCord. His "above the neck" talent (as McVay would say) is second to none in this draft. His ball placement is damn near perfect. My only concerns is I've heard he tends to have a slower release (but haven't really taken the time to check that), and I personally worry about his ball velocity and whether or not he might be an interception machine to any secondary with speed. All that being said I'd have ZERO issues if the Rams decided to roll the dice on him.
