Speights... (hope we keep Speights and Hummel over Reeder)

90 players in camp, 53 man roster, 16 on the PS, that leaves 21 who won't be part of the team anymore, give or take. It's really not as brutal as it once was...

The best part is that's just day 3 picks.

The Rams have all of their higher picks under wraps until Kickoff in Detroit!

Special teams (3)

LS Alex Ward

My biggest “surprises” on the 53 are Hummel, Speights, and Charles Woods. All this depends on if they trade for or sign a vet Corner. Which likely happens after week 1 if it’s a F/A signing (Witherspoon). Surprise cuts/no PS: Reeder, K Thomas. L Murchison. Surprise that we are 4 players heavier on defense.

They could go lighter at ILB (3) and then add to either DL or Edge

**Once Bennett goes to the PS they will elevate either an Edge or Corner/Safety

This will change/be in flux throughout the season, obviously.

Agree with you on Hummel and Speights. Josh Wallace over Woods. Evans over Scott. No way they cut Xaiver Smith. Yeast and Taylor both cut. They keep 4 TEs and Hunter Long gets cut. So add Miller Forristall and Nikola Kalinic.

I don't see how Carlos Watkins makes the team. But everything else I agree with. These are just my guesses and I could be completely wrong. I'm just bored 😂

I edited it before I saw your post but didnt capture any of your suggestions. I don’t have X Smith being cut. He makes the 53. Watkins is a vet on a young DL and better than the rest of the vets except maybe L Murchison. But he is injured. Dont see keeping 4 TEs as Higs will be back. So Hunter Long makes it as they can’t afford to have 2 or 3 young TEs. The position is too difficult to master. Wallace and Woods are pretty even to my eye. Could go your way easily there. No chance Scott is cut over Evans. Evans has shown almost nothing in 2 seasons and he is not a good pass protector at all.

All just my opinion.

Hardest move for me was 6 not 7 WR and putting Tyler Johnson on the PS. He’s a good STs guy and he will probably get poached if he goes to the PS. Can’t keep them all.

The NFL has to increase the 53 to 55-60 with 50 active on game day. Especially when they go to 18 games. Too many injuries and too many quality players out of a job.
