Green Bay and Vikings both would have to finish 8-9. They play each other this week. So one team will have 9 losses and be out. Vikings still have to play at Detroit week 18 and that could be a huge game for Detroit for seeding. Green Bay also plays the Bears at home. Bears aren’t a gimme game.

Again most important game outside Rams game next week is Pitt and Seattle. Pitt tho squarely back in hunt. Mason Rudolph played well last week. We’ll see

Not going to say it will happen, but with if by some luck, the Packers and Vikings tie?

Then 9-8 beats them both out as the best they could be is 8-8-1. Unlike the Chargers/Raiders last year, a tie probably eliminates both of them.

I'm with you on this. If we can't get ourselves in on our own, any progress in or into post would be a bit shallow IMO and bodes for an early exit.

Viking lost pass rusher Wonnum and TE Hockenson for the year. Gonna be tough for them to beat the Packers and Lions and stay in this thing.

Most media are seeing this Rams team in its new form and putting them in the playoffs. And many talking about a real contender level.

I as a fan keep seeing the potential bad. But the Rams missing the playoffs is real. The scenario where that happens is very realistic.
I don’t think the Hawks are a good team but these wild wins have kept them alive.

In my mind the Hawks beating the Steelers and Cards is 75% probable.

The Packers beating the Vikings and Bears is 70% probable.

The Rams beating the Giants and losing to the F’ers is 70% probable.

And that’s it. Rams are out.

Yes all things are potential to flip. But counting on these Rams to beat the F’ers to me is more hopeful than real. We hang our hats on the ONE that mattered but there are too many Ls for me to think it’s going to happen.

So give me a Rams win and Steelers win please. Let’s just get them in. Then we take on the F’ers.

Go Rams.

Looking at just the Rams in this. Week 2: They didn’t have Kupp. They do now and he’s as healthy as he’s been in a minute. In fact, your starting WRs in 11P were Tutu, Skowronek, and Puka. We didn’t have D Rob in the line up. Now it’s Kupp, Puka, and D Rob with Tutu available as a deep threat. Both Kyren and Puka were starting their second game. They are much more savvy now. TEs might be better with a healthy Higs and D Allen. The big one - Noteboom started at RG and was pushed around consistently. Now we have K Dot who is playing physical, mast and out of his mind.

This team knows the narrative, “the niners own you”. Ya think they mind be a bit tired of hearing that??

The defense remains about the same but they are playing better as a whole.

The middle of the field has been an issue against the whiners as has been YAC. I’d expect them to do better in both areas and be better in the red zone.

All in all, the Rams are simply better than they were in week 2. And I don’t think the whiners are. They are the same if not a little worse. We are a much more physical team now than then as well. That is going to be a problem for the hated ones. Whether we need to win or not, the Rams can and I think will beat them week 18. And I am looking forward to it.

Now if they need to win and lose and are out of the playoffs, my hatred of the whiners will grow. And I don’t know how that is even possible.

I feel it is no given that the Seahawks beat the Steelers will see. Having said that all I am focused on is beating the Giants.

Also who know if the niners play their starters beyond a 1/2. Would you play CMC or Deebo? I wouldnt take the chance.

Def all about the Giants game. SF won’t matter much if you somehow lose to the G men.

Yeah, they can't take their eyes off the prize. What's standing between them and the playoffs is the NYG. Period. Doesn't matter what happens elsewhere. We'll check that after all the games are played tomorrow. And worry about next week, next week.
