There might be some lucky Fantasy Football team owner that gets to have both Mayfield and Stafford ... I doubt it will be Kroenke.

More like 1 good game and a good series. Baker is younger but neither of these guys should be doing a lot of running.
This has been a great story and somebody should give the guy a chance but Stafford is well down the list of things that have gone bad this year. We saw Stafford at his best during the super bowl run as he was personally responsible for a couple wins. We know Stafford can play at very high level we’ve seen him do it in the playoffs and SB, I can’t imagine dumping him after the season from hell.
Look at the nfc, who’re the best qbs? Rodgers? Dak? Hurts? No reason Stafford’s not right there next year. I don’t think there’s any plans for Baker other than that compensatory pick when he leaves

It wouldn't surprise me if we signed Baker for next year, for less than starter's money.
IF Baker leaves, and goes sideways or worse, his career would be over. IF he stays for a year, he grows and matures; waits in the wings behind Stafford. Stafford has two more years...and lots of recent injuries. IF he got really hurt next year, he might retire then.
Good for Baker in the long run; good back up ins for us next year. If Stafford stays healthy and good, then we get a pick when Baker leaves after next year, having learned the QB position far better than he otherwise would. That would be a win-win for all, right?

While that is truly logical, and prudent for Baker, his ego and ability likely to get paid a midlevel contract as a starter will pull him out of LA. If I was his agent I would work a really creative and high dollar (for a back up) deal to stay in LA for a 1 + 1 option year deal. Baker would come out of here a much better QB after a year immersed in the system/coaching from MCV, and probably have better starting options, possibly including with the Rams.

We will see who offers him what. I’m sure the Rams will make him some kind of offer.

So many possibilities it will be interesting to see what happens. But the official line continues to be: Full speed ahead with Stafford and a comp pick for Baker...

I think we're fine if that's the plan. If they manage to keep him, even better yet. Like a win-win. Especially if somebody pays him a load of jack in free agency. Could we get a 3rd round comp pick? That would be a coup!

I don't see BM getting a load of jack as you put it as a FA,

Right now, according to Spotrac, his market value is at 6.5mil/yr

That would put him at around a sixth rd draft comp pick.
