But, how can we justify putting that much money into one position? Also, there will be much fewer throws to go around. I think both the Vikes AND the Lions would love to trade for him because he has excelled in the Vikes new system (ours) and with Jared Goff.I see Robinson being great on back shoulder stuff, much like OBJ is. I think Tutu and Woods could both get traded this year. We also get Higby back from injury too. I'd be fine with a Woods trade for Hunter by PARAM 3 years 3 months ago Total posts: 13220 Joined: Jul 15 2015 Just far enough North of Philadelphia Hall of Fame Robert Woods On The Trading Block? Hell we were "lucky" to land OBJ this year. Helped down the stretch and in the postseason. Can you imagine if we had to roll with just Kupp, Jefferson and Skowronek? Doubtful we win it all in that case. That being said, who knows what they're thinking? We're only paying 3 mil total to our top 2 RBs. Outside of Higbee (8 mil) we're paying the rest of our TEs 1.95 mil. There's plenty of money for WRs. Been following the horns since the Coliseum had a Roman playing there. Now that McVay has his assistants coaching many teams in the league I’m sure he can find a good deal for us. I think the wording of the info that the rams gave shefter to tweet out says a lot. They wanted shefter to report that we still have money for OBJ. It shows they want OBJ badly and I think he will sign with us on a discount. He’s a very emotional guy and he said LA felt like home. So assuming we will have OBJ signed and if you’re just looking at it dispassionately the most expendable WR would be woods as he would still get us something decent in return if one of the coaches who have left us will vouch for him. I wish Van Jefferson had more value and that would make the decision easy, having Jefferson and OBJ seems kinda redundant and Woods brings a different element of WR play to the field but Van Jefferson doesn’t so it’ll have to be Woods. He has phenomenal for us and won the chip too so don’t think he’ll be salty but even if he is, oh well. 3 by max 3 years 3 months ago Total posts: 5714 Joined: Jun 01 2015 Sarasota, FL Hall of Fame Re: Robert Woods On The Trading Block? POST #29 CanuckRightWinger liked this post I’m good leaving this up to mcvay on how he wants the WR room to look. I do think Van and Skron weaknesses were exposed in SB. That may play into their decisions. ~ max ~“The consciousness of good intentions disdains ambiguity.” - Alexander Hamilton, The Federalist Papers 1 by AvengerRam 3 years 3 months ago Total posts: 8919 Joined: Oct 03 2017 Lake Mary, Florida Hall of Fame Robert Woods On The Trading Block? POST #30 To me, given that the Rams are in “win now” mode, I think the entire decision comes down to trade value. There are two aspects to this concept. First, what would the Rams receive in return? If it’s a pick in the third round or better, that could provide immediate value. So could a trade for a player. The second aspect is the indirect impact. Would moving Woods free enough money to add a player in a spot where the Rams are weaker than they are at WR?In my mind, keeping Woods may ultimately be the best option, both from a sentimental and a value standpoint. Now ask me about Van Jefferson… Reply 3 / 10 1 3 10 Display: All posts1 day7 days2 weeks1 month3 months6 months1 year Sort by: AuthorPost timeSubject Sort by: AscendingDescending Jump to: Forum Rams/NFL Other Sports Rams Fans United Q&A's Board Business 94 posts Jul 09 2025

POST #28 R4L, 99Balloons, CanuckRightWinger liked this post As much as we all love Woods I think the sensible thing to do (now that we’ve signed Robinson) is to trade him for help in areas we desperately need.
