I think there is some "stuff going on" with Z'adarius that the Rams arent interested. I think the Rams are interested in Wagner but not yet, other priorities first.

Z'adarius signed a big deal with the Vikings. I like our ILB better than Wagner and wouldn't waste the money on nostalgia - he isn't the same guy, his weakness is in coverage these days and we don't need that.

I keep stating it: I hope the Rams look at Arden Key. Young, long/tall, played really well for the hated ones last season in rotation and should be on the rise. I don't think he will command big $$. Get him on a 2-3 year deal with team options after first year. Then draft 1-2 developmental edge players. Key's game will only elevate playing with AD, Floyd opposite, and the other young guns pushing for reps.

Three reasons:

1. Improves run defense.
2. Brings leadership to the defense.
3. Makes Seahawks fans lose their minds.

Exactly. and he is young, up and coming. He is visiting a number of teams. Not sure if the Rams are one of them. If I recall correctly, he was a problem for our OL both games this season.

If we sign Wagner, so be it. Better not break the bank.
His stats are nice and all but he has slowed down and lost explosiveness in the coverage game. His vet instincts help there. And he can teach things to both Jones and Howard. Just don't want to over pay for a skilled, but declining player.

I would add to my list...

The 49ers have given us trouble with their running game. With Trey Lance, they will likely run the ball even more, including some RPO. Wagner is a great equalizer for that strategy.

As long as we arent taking Jones off the field. I could see Wagner against run packages.

As long as we don't overpay for Wagner, I would welcome this move. Something like a 2-year, $15 mil (or less)?
