Amazing how members of the leftist religious cult take their marching orders from their high priests on CNN regarding all of their sacraments - including “Orange Man Bad”, global warming will kill us all in 10 years, China/Iran are good but Israel is bad, the only requirement to be called a white supremacist is being white.... and so many more sacraments.

Their woke automatons spew the talking point based bile on a continuous loop.

See how this works?

I point out ANOTHER completely unsubstantiated story accusing our former president of something that can never be proven, and the first reply comes from a leftist that completely ignored the original story AND my reply only to spew hate.

Can we shut up about politics and talk about the tape/proof destruction?

I don’t care what Trump did/might have done/had nothing to do with.

I don't know what passes for substantiation but Arlen Specter alluded to this in his book and now his son and an aide confirm the story and say it was Trump.

Spokespeople for Trump and Kraft have denied it.

I wouldn't treat it as fact but i at least think it's worth a discussion.

But also, even if it's true that the NFL was trying to stop Specter's investigation (legally or otherwise), that doesn't mean every spygate accusation is true.

Specter's investigation was gonna be bad PR for the NFL regardless...

Jerseydevil wrote:Well the NFL has gone woke, so I don't see that this will be a problem. I watch sports to get for entertainment. Since the NFL has become so political, I will pass on watching their games.

When you are watching an NFL game, what about the game itself is political? How many athletes are reprehensible human beings that beat the crap out of their spouses or kill people drunk driving for the umpteenth time (Leonard Little)? Did you stop watching the NFL then because by watching you are somehow endorsing that behavior? But you draw the line when players express political views (and why would anyone care what an athlete has to say about political issues) that don’t reflect your own?

You sound just like the “woke” individuals you are criticizing who refuse to shop at WalMart because of the way they treat their employees (I know I work with someone like that).

This doesn't just scream coverup.

Goodell then briefly reopened the league investigation days later and ordered his most trusted aide, league general counsel Jeff Pash, to stomp a handful of spying videotapes to pieces inside a Gillette Stadium conference room. The punishments had been delivered before the evidence was collected and then quickly destroyed.

There has never been a doubt in my mind that the Patriots cheated us out of a Superbowl. But just like when the Astros cheated the Dodgers out of a World Series, it doesn't matter now because its not like we get to replay them in a level playing field. Astros got punished and outed. The Patriots were punished for other spygate stuff but not the Superbowl. But the whole nation considers them cheaters. There will always be a "Yeah, but" attached to their accomplishments.

I blame the 2001 Super Bowl loss on the following 3 factors:

1. The Patriots' game plan, which was likely developed, in part, through cheating.

2. Mike Martz's stubborn refusal to adjust his approach (i.e. run the ball).

3. The refs utilizing a "let them play" approach (later modified when the Patriots basically held the Colts' receivers to a point where even Peyton Manning couldn't complete passes).

2001 super bowl: 3 turnovers to 0, good luck with that.
