I don't pay attention to mocks too much. The thing with mocks is as soon as a "mocker" picks somebody who shouldn't be there, he drops someone who should. I prefer to look at the guys like Scott Wright's top 100 or so. 32 of his top 55 players were picked yesterday. The math says, 23 of them are left but I'm sure not all 23 will be off the board by #55. Having said that here's a list of the guys left on his list.

21 Grant Delpit, S
23 D'Andre Swift, RB
24 Yetur Gross-Matos, DE
25 Ross Blalock, DT
26 Trevon Diggs, CB
27 Jonathan Taylor, RB
30 Xavier McKinney, S
32 Antoine Winfield, Jr, S

33 JK Dobbins, RB
34 Cole Kmet, TE
35 Denzel Mims, WR
36 Josh Jones, T
38 Ezra Cleveland, T
39 AJ Epenesa, DE
40 Jaylon Johnson, CB
42 Kristian Fulton, CB

43 Zack Braun, LB
45 Lloyd Cushenberry, C
48 Marlon Davidson, DT
49 Tee Higgins, WR
50 Jeremy Chinn, S
52 KJ Hamler, WR
54 Albert Okwuegbunam, TE
56 Chase Claypool, WR
57 Justin Madubuike, DT
58 Michael Pittman, WR
59 Neville Gallimore, DT
60 Kyle Dugger, S
61 Laviska Shenault, WR
62 Jordon Elliott, DT
63 Curtis Weaver, OLB
64 Ashton Davis, S

"Value" at 52 and 57, IMHO would be the guys in color. If 5 or more of them are there at #52, I'd hope we trade down to pick up another 3rd or 4th round pick.

The guys Wright had ranked below #32 who went off the board were:

37 AJ Terrell, CB
41 Issaiah Wilson, T
44 Jeff Gladney, CB
46 Jalen Reagor, WR
47 Clyde Edwards-Helaire
51 Noah Igbinoghene, CB
53 Damon Arnette, CB
55 Jordyn Brooks, ILB

All 2nd round ranking, only 2 ranked lower than our #52 pick. So I trust Wrights evaluations. I gotta believe the RB's won't last to #52 but if Swift, Taylor or Dobbins is there, it would be a great pick. Mims, Higgins, Hamler, Claypool or Pittman at either 52 or 57. The top S are intriguing too. The OL? Meh.

History? Without a first round pick, here's the positions Snead had picked first and second.
2017 TE/WR
2018 T/C
2019 S/RB

I'm thinking WR, RB or trade down. In any event, we are going to hopefully get 4 of the top 104 players in this draft, maybe more if we trade down. I gotta believe the first 3 picks are going to infuse the Rams with some talent at positions of need.......RB, WR, OL, S, LB

What's interesting is our competition.

San Francisco made 2 first round picks and their next slot is #156. We make 5 picks before then. Seattle got ILB Jordyn Brooks. Good pick. Now they have #59, #64 and #101. Arizona? They need much more help than we do.

New Orleans got the Ruiz kid from Michigan. Their next pick is #88 and #130.
Minnesota got a good WR and CB. Next picks #58 and #89.

The Rams are sitting pretty IMHO with 4 of the next 72 picks. That's 1 every 18 picks.

Here's some analysis from NFL.com
Top Needs (in alphabetical order):
LB •
OL •
RB •
S •
WR
Swapping out Dante Fowler and Clay Matthews for the disappointing Leonard Floyd doesn't seem like a good deal. So, the work continues at edge rusher. Les Snead still needs to replace Cory Littleton and Todd Gurley, too. The Rams appear to be running it back on the O-line, but that's not necessarily a good thing, and keep in mind that the best of their bunch up front -- Andrew Whitworth -- will be 39 before next season is over. That said, there are needs in the secondary and at receiver that could be greater priorities this offseason.

Fastest 40 times left on the board?

#27 Jonathan Taylor 4.39 RB
#33 JK Dobbins 4.39 RB
#35 Denzel Mims 4.38 WR
#52 KJ Hamler 4.36 WR
#64 Ashton Davis 4.39 CB
#92 Devin Duvernay 4.39 WR

Still pushing that RB , WR , second round picks, will find out soon. I don’t think we double up, RB maybe....

Not pushing. Hoping! Truthfully, a trade down would be awesome. Gotta get as many "playmakers" as we can. I actually like Avengers mock where he had the Rams getting Okwara for the edge. Of course Helaire is gone but Dobbins? Taylor? Mims, Hamler or Duvernay? Hell yeah, sign me up.

The "experts" say....Edge, OL, ILB, RB and WR....bascially in that order. Like I said, I think we need "playmakers" and they can be found at Edge, ILB, RB and WR but not on OL. We have invested a number of draft picks the last 2 years on OL, extended Havenstein and resigned Whitworth and Blythe so I hope they wait till later in the draft for that.

The only O line position I could see going early is C but they've said "Blythe is the starting center". JMHO.

Just spitballing here...
Maybe Les SpeedTrader Snead can find a home for Havenstein and trade him (and his fat contract) for a 4th or 5th Round Pick? :idea2:

Not enough savings but the pick would be nice to have. I know many Ram fans think getting rid of Hav is a good thing, as he didn't play that well last year but if he's healthy he could be a legit contributor. They're loaded with O lineman. ;)

On the fence with Hav. If they find a better fit/athlete on OL in the draft, how much do we save by trading him? Would there be any dead money? He brings starting experience and was healthy/pretty good in 2018, as PA opined.

Yeah, I am not saying "let's dump Havenstein"....just trying to gauge what Les DonKlostermanClone Snead might be thinking. PA is right that we have alot of OL on our roster.....and I agree that sure...they are stacked-up like cordwood :shock2: .....but if Snead wants another draft pick, Havenstein is the primary Ram OL guy that would merit one IMO. :idea2:

Another angle....
In a NFL season with minimal OTAs/Practices/PreSeason, etc etc teams would be smart to keep OL units together as PlayBook is already down pat with the vets.....I think its why Los Ramos decided to keep Austin Blythe for 2020 with that One Year Deal....IE.
we don't love you Mr. Blythe....so long term commitment,
but we need you for the 2020 Rams OL-Gel factor, so we'll overpay you for a year.

Anybody else out there think that Austin 3OffSeasonSurgeries Blythe was gonna be offered nearly $4 Mil for his 2020 services??
I don't.

throughout this evening, I will try to edit the original post of this thread, and update what slot/team each person on the list went to ...I'm also gonna try to keep up with Canuck's list of O-Line prospects.

Well, the good news in my quest to be known as a Draft Prognosticator around here was that I typed "Terrell Lewis & Lloyd Cushenberry" earlier in this Draft Thread.....
....hey, 1 outa 2 ain't bad, eh! ;) :arrow2: 8-)

…..and if guys are correct in the Can You Read Lips thread and McVay DID drop the F-bomb when he heard that Cushenberry was plucked right before our #57 Pick...….my nickname around here mighta been "Nostradamus"! :shock2:
…..well, except in households inhabited by PA, zn, Dick84, RedAlice et al. :lol2:

The bad news for me as a predictor? That submission of the 22 to 24 tsunami of TOTAL OL Picks that I touted for Days 1&2 came to only a total of 17 bodies. :?
….and unlike my Day 1 picks submitted, Day 2 had some Crazy-Ivans from well down my list of OLinemen candidates. IE. guys like Matt Peart, Robert Hunt, Johah Jackson, Lucas Niang, and Tyre Phillips were supposed to go IMHO a lot later in Day 3 Rounds. :oops2:

So, just like my Terrell Lewis pick was accurate but in the wrong earlier slot, I will now "pivot" (I got that word from Hillary in 2016, eh!) and say this:

the OL tsunami as predicted is STILL coming...
...but it was delayed by Global Warming and Coalmining in West Virginia! :lol2:

Here's that OL Tsunami, sportsfans:
ROUNDs 4 thru 7

DARRYL WILLIAMS OG/OC MISSISSIPPI STATE
TREY ADAMS OT WASHINGTON
YASIR DURANT OT MIZZOU
NICK HARRIS OC WASHINGTON (PA's guy, who I call Brian Allen Lite :P )
JON RUNYAN OG MICHIGAN
CALVIN THROCKMORTON OT OREGON
JOHN MOLCHON OG BOISE STATE
KEVIN DOTSON OG LOUISIANA-LAYFAYETTE
JACK DRISCOLL OT AUBURN
DAISHAWN DIXON OG SD STATE
TJ McCOY OC LOUISVILLLE
SAAHDIQ CHARLES OT LSU
DANNY PINTER OC/OG BALL STATE
COHL CABRAL OC ARIZONA STATE
JUSTIN HERRON OG WAKE FOREST
COLETON McKIVITZ OT WEST VIRGINIA
JAKE HANSON OC OREGON
ALEX TAYLOR OT SOUTH CAROLINA ST
FREDERICK MAUIGOA OC WASHINGTON STATE
SCOTT FRANZ OT KANSAS STATRE
KEITH ISMAEL, OC SD STATE
EVIN KSIEZACZYK OT BUFFALO
TRYSTAN COLON-CASTILLO OC MIZZOU
KYLE HINTON OC WASHBURN
TERRANCE STEELE OT TEXAS TECH
ZACK SHACKELFORD OC TEXAS
CAMERON CLARK OT CHARLOTTE
CHARLIE HECK OT UNC
SIMON STEFANIAK OC INDIANA
TREVOUR WALLACE-SIMMS OG MIZZOU
MICHAEL ONWENU OG MICHIGAN
CORDEL IWUAGWILI OG TCU
SEAN POLLARD OC CLEMSON
KENNY COOPER G/T GEORGIA TECH
TREMAYNE ANCHRUM OG CLEMSON
KYLE MURRAY OG RHODE ISLAND
LUKE JURIGA OG WEST MICHIGAN
ALEX GIVINS OT OLE' MISS
STEVEN GONZALES OG PENN STATE
DARRIN PAULO OT UTAH
ZACK JOHNSON OG NORTH DAKOTA ST

That should bring the final OL Total up to near 50 IMO. :idea2:

Enjoy Draft Day.....post-mortems later tonight! :lol2:

P.S. Congrats to Pennsylvania who got RB AND WR both right for #52 & #57 as he correctly predicted that McVay would, like certain species of blackbirds, go for the shiny stuff to make its nest! ;) :arrow2: 8-)
