Good zinger there Elvis! :lol2:

Yeah, no doubt all of my scape-goating of Kromer has cut into my Ram Roster-Tweak reporting time eh!!! :P

Back to Landis Durham....I had thought he looked okay in PreSeason, and was glad to see we retained the youngster on our PS.
Strange to just leave Durham unsigned of all the PS guys....maybe his recent injury is serious?? :? Hope not.

Hard to say if Weddle considers the #1 nickel position as a starter ... I haven't seen the snap count numbers from this season, but not so long ago many teams had their nickle on the field more often than not.

I hope we can keep him, I like his experience. He's gonna make fewer mistakes than most on the field.

His loss of speed is a concern though. And, keeping him means Rapp or JJ is on the field less. Unless, the Rams use 3 safeties, removing a LB from the field. 3-3-5 alignment, which can be a very effective set-up against the pass - but vulnerable to power rushing attacks.

As for Whitworth, I don't see any way in hell we can afford him. LT is Noteboom's best fit.
I would like to see what Edwards can do out there too. He has damn good feet and is athletic.
I'd like to see us draft a LT with our first pick this year. Weddle, a real stud, is losing some speed and I don't think he would be quick enough to play nickel.
Havenstien needs to drop about 30 lbs IMHO. He's not worth anything like Ramsey, Littleton, or Fowler, Jr, IMHO.

I think they'll find a way to keep him and don't think it'll be that much. 7-9 million range.

I agree on his market value. I’d say the only competition would be if Cincy came calling for him to wrap up the career there, and even that shouldn’t be a concern. 7-9 might even be on the high side. Maybe 5 mill with a bunch of incentives that could push total value towards 10
I just don’t know if he’s worth it at this point, it’s not like we have a LG who can pick up his slack

Whitworth is gone. Bringing him back fixes nothing. The Rams know this.

Rams sign nine players to reserve/future contracts

Stu Jackson
STAFF WRITER

The Los Angeles Rams have signed nine players to reserve/future contracts, ensuring each of them a roster spot on the team this spring.

Each signee spent time on the Rams' practice squad this past season. They are:

Defensive back Adonis Alexander
Defensive tackle Marquise Copeland
Wide receiver Greg Dortch
Linebacker Jeff Holland
Guard Jeremiah Kolone
Linebacker Jachai Polite
Center Nate Trewyn
Tight end Ethan Wolf
Quarterback John Wolford

Any player who wasn't on an active roster at the end of the previous regular season is eligible to sign a reserve/futures contract. These deals do not count against the salary cap or 53-man roster limit, but do allow teams to lock down young talent for their 90-man roster ahead of spring practices and training camp.

The Rams may sign other eligible players to future contracts as long as they do not exceed the 90-man roster limit at the beginning of the league year in March. The NFL's free agency period begins on March 18, 2020.
