Yes.

It was painful to watch.

I don’t feel embarrassed tho. I feel sad.

These are my Rams. I love them in both success and failure.

So says the 10 year old.

None of us are in the locker room so it's hard to accurately speculate on the mentality of the team. From my perspective, the Goff contract was THE most asinine move the Rams could possibly have made. They had all the insight they needed on the ability(inability) of this guy to lead the team to greatness to better scrutinize his value. With defenders in his face or chasing him he SUCKS. We all saw what a real quarterback worth 130 million looks like last night and it wasn't Jared Goff. The players are well aware of this and it hurts the team. I won't get into the Gurley thing because he WAS once great and it's far more reasonable that he gets paid than it is for Goff but his contribution now is nowhere near worth what he is getting paid. When Goff's contract was announced I was pissed. I knew what this was going to mean and my hunch is playing out in spectacular fashion. What I saw last night was a team in complete disarray and one that is planning their vacations with 6 games to go in the season. The question now is can they even beat Arizona next week and will they win another game all season? Unless their level of intensity steps way the fuck up they won't. No team plays as badly as they played last night without having serious attitude issues. Paying a complete loser 2 million per game and having a roster so top heavy with salary can absolutely kill a team. It may not be a conscious decision but too many of the rest of the offense just aren't laying it all out for Goff. Now, the defense is joining in on the dissent. McVay has not one effing clue how to right this ship. He better get some help or half the new stadium will be empty for Ram home games next season. California demands a winner. There are too many things to do and think about than to get invested in a losing football team.

I can't keep making excuses anymore. He is bad. A $130 million QB should find a way to flourish when everything else around you is breaking down.

Robert Woods is still playing hard. If I was building a team he'd be one of the Rams I'd start with.

Once again Goff missed Td's to a wide open Higbee and also a wide open Woods.

Too many days off. I can’t tell you how many times (even after losses) - I heard about how the coach or key players would take Wednesday off.

McVay is too player friendly. It’s too late now, but he needed to right the ship and really coach and practice plays to get them drilled.

Same with Goff. Some wanted Goff to air it out. Right now, that’s a sure interception. He’s not hitting the right windows and the crisp throws he had last year. They are all just sloppy and bad. Needs serious drills.

All that being said I think the Ravens came to play. They played a really good game (and yes rubbed our noses in it which was unnecessary), but everyone on the Ravens squad was a gamer last night.

I won't disagree about the the complaints with Goff this season He's definitely playing poorly. Picked a bad time for it too signing that big contract. That is all we hear now. The Rams made a mistake and now they're stuck with him.

But there's a long way to go before we start thinking we need another quarterback. Or he's a bust and can't be the future. He'll have to get back to the drawing board with McVay and figure this out. Neither are going anywhere after this season. Both will be back in 2020. A lot of things can change between now and then.

How many teams have turned around their fortunes good or bad over the years? A team looks like world beaters one season and totally different the next. Or vice versa. That is the NFL and parity.

I'm not giving up on either. We've seen what both are capable of. They just have to figure out how to get back to where they once were. I will wait for the whole body or work before I judge either of them. They're both just getting started in their relatively young careers.

Thanks! Most of my memories of the Rams is when they were in Anaheim going with my dad. So I have a close affection to the Rams and Angels.

Some common sense in this crazy over-reactive world for once... :)
