I dont understand why this is necassary, its not like they will pick up and go home.
I want the Rams back home in LA as much as anyone. But at this point I believe the Carson project is an absolute threat.

I don't, because as Bubba has shown us all, Carson is not feasible. If we know that, then NFL HQ and it's army of analysts, lawyers, consultants, et al know this.

I just dont buy that with all these people involved, that they all are in cahoots to continue the charade, all for Spanos benefit.
I think if Spanos had the power to influence all that, he'd have the influence to get the votes he needs.

Im not doubting any of Bubba's assesments, but I have to believe the NFL truly believes it can be remedied

Some probably still think the game is in play. Others are playing for what they can get out of it. And others know that the game is over and aren't part of any game playing.

I'm simply saying that the game is over, that all the pieces are in place to make Inglewood happen. Spanos and his supporters are just trying to get what they can get by being difficult. And the league is trying to keep buts in seats and existing home markets subdued.

So, the Raiders have been offered a place to play with the 49ers and the Chargers have been offered a place to play with the Rams. But both are refusing so they can play with each other and the rest of the league is supposed to just give that to them? When both teams can't even pay for the stadium they say they want?

It would be comical if we weren't talking about the good ol' boys club and God only knows what they're going to do.

Anything can be done today. They could engineer, remediate and build a football stadium in Carson. It would take years and there are many uncertainty's and hidden costs in doing so. Simple as that. I could see 5 years with any type of set back which would be more than possible at that Superfund site. But it could be done.

I've been to the site twice. I've spoken to people who work there. They said no NFL presence is known, they have heard all the rumors and have been looking for any shred of evidence,,, and nothing. I spoke with the guard that sat on the main gate for over 4 years. He only saw 2 of limos pull in simultaneously for an hour one time in all those years,, and which he assumed was NFL.
The site is a dog.
Spanos has been mad because he knew he was screwed back in August.

Does anything else make sense? I know we are biased, but any fact the opponents try to sell is almost always illogical and against the use of common sense. Pretend your'e a LA Raiders fan right now and with everything that has transpired,, just how secure you would feel when the Rams and Kroenke are after the same thing that you are?

I guess the only variable left for me is what will Spanos get. I'm still betting that he gets a boat-load of money toward a new stadium in San Diego, but then perhaps he gets a sweetheart deal in Inglewood. I bet Goodhell knows what Spanos is getting.
